Cheba Hut on Hero Way has officially become a favorite spot in Leander! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a relaxed and friendly vibe. But let's talk about their happy hour – it’s truly the best around! You simply can't beat the deals and the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding after a long day.
Beyond the fantastic happy hour, the food is consistently top-notch. Every sub I've tried has been packed with flavor and incredibly satisfying. What’s even better is that the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. They also serve the food incredibly fast!
What truly sets Cheba Hut apart, however, is their remarkable commitment to the local community. I was so impressed to see them actively promoting local businesses by allowing them to set up booths right inside the restaurant. And the fact that they offer food to these vendors is just incredibly generous and speaks volumes about their values. In a town like Leander, fostering this kind of collaboration and support among small businesses is invaluable, and it was refreshing to witness firsthand. I haven't seen this kind of community spirit in any other establishment.
Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs on Hero Way isn't just a place to grab a great and affordable bite; it's a place that clearly cares about its customers and its community. Highly recommend checking them out – you won’t be...

There was probably 5 people inside but I guess they keep serving online orders. I get up from my seat after 20 minutes since I never heard my name called and waited at the pick up counter. I wasn’t staring down the staff or asking for anything when this very rude gray haired lady with a southern accent came up to me and started angrily asking me what my name was. After I tell her she just says ‘yeah that’s not even ready yet’. I waited a few more minutes and saw she was trying to talk to me from like 6 feet away with music blasting, I stepped in closer and said ‘I’m sorry I didn’t hear that’. She just throws up her hands and starts repeating that my sandwich was next while yelling to where all the patrons were looking at her. I don’t know if they were pissed that I didn’t tip on a $16 sandwich but I never got rude or anything with them. I gave them over minutes just to get yelled at....
Read moreIf Scott could see how this was being run, I think he would be upset. I have been to the first Cheba back in the 2000s and I know how it was run. He would never allow the stuff happening here. Hitting a weed vape in the store at the front and blowing it in a customer's face in a state like Texas first off will get this place shut down soon enuf. I just watch that happen. Going out for smoke brakes is one thing and we all burn a bit but there are limits. Not cleaning the store properly. The men's room was disgusting. Or What I just heard with my own ears while eating made me not want to eat here. Someone I guess came in and put in for a job. One manages from what I could hear knew this person and had nothing but good to say about them. But the assistant manager said no and as he walked away, he said she is not my type so I'm not even going to give the app to the manager. Thats not your choice. Everyone should get a chance not just people you're trying to bone. Scott if you still own this and you see this you might want to look into this store and...
