The Coffee Cabin — Restaurant in Leavenworth

I will add some stars because there are some awesome baristas who work here that work hard and do a super job and are always friendly or polite to you. I really am not one to complain or write negative reviews, however, after a couple frightening encounters I now feel the need to do so. On many occasions there’s an older brunette gal I believe her name is Kendra who is working who rarely says hi or even smiles…. she opens the window screen super hard and asks sternly “what do you want today?” Now there are a few occasions where she will be friendly and I will tip for the great service, but others and I have noticed if you don’t tip this certain barista she will huff and slam the window and not say anything to you after you pay. If you don’t catch her in a good mood she will literally shove the iPad at you which most of the time is covered in grime and sticky drops from other people’s drinks. There have also been times I’ve seen her stick her head out the window yelling at cars to pull up after the last one leaves including at me as I’m already doing so. I want to give this place more chances but the attitude from one of the older employees here is really saddening. We try to miss her if we can when we come here. To earn a tip from me you have to earn it with good customer service, not just expect a tip then get mad when I don’t tip you after shoving me with an iPad and glaring at me. Drove over to Manson from the west side of the state. Seeing that the state of Washington was loosening up its travel restriction while the pandemic continues I walked up to The Coffee Cabin from Wapato Point to get a coffee to go. I had mask on and as I got to the order window the barista was finishing upwith a drive thru order. I was surprised to see that neither were wearing masks. the espresso shake is THEEEE best thing to order. it’s addicting. so careful. but it’s a very nice treat when in chelan. it’s a drive thru on one side & walk-by window on the other. customer service, let’s just say i’ve run into nicer baristas. maybe some just don’t love their job ? overall it’s a nice coffee place. red bulls are good anywhere.
