Read moreThis McDonald’s is the opposite of my stereotype of a fast food restaurant. When I think of a fast food place, I think of sticky floors, maybe someone mopping with a dirty old mop, napkins everywhere, and nasty bathrooms.
This McDonald’s was clean from top to bottom. I’m talking clean floors, clean tables, clean windows, clean condiment section, and even clean ordering screens (no nasty little kid paw prints all over like other places.)
But, what separated THIS McDonald’s from the others was Carla, the manager. When Carla saw me, she came right up, “How can I help you, KC?” That should tell you something right there. You see - I was wearing a KC Royals polo and a KC Royals hat. So, she had me smiling from the first sentence. She continued to have a smile on her face through the entire interaction and said just the right amount of jokes - you know, not like we’re best friends and not like she had planned out corny jokes. Just friendly. I hope that her positive, friendly attitude, and genuine sense of happiness to be there is an example to the other employees. There should be more people out...
Read moreThis place has been understaffed for quite some time now and ownership clearly does not care. Drive-thru regularly takes an abnormally long amount of time, including regularly being told to wait at the ordering speaker for several minutes. Food quality is usually a step below just about every other McDonald’s I’ve ever been to.
Most of this store’s problems would be fixed by levering up staffing, and laying off the current careless, rude staff. Having worked in fast food when I was younger, I have an appreciation for how challenging the work and customers can be, but these folks just don’t even try to be happy or provide quality service.
This McDonalds is typically a bit slower than other area McDonalds due to the poor reputation, and it appears ownership’s answer to this is just limiting labor costs and ignoring customer complaints. If this place was at least AVERAGE customer service-wise, they’d do significantly better business-wise. Corporate should just repossess this store...
