Crystal Buffet — Restaurant in Lebanon

So I just got the opportunity to try this place last week and I’m reading the reviews and that was not my experience at all. The food was amazing. It didn’t make me feel as though I wanted to go to sleep afterwards which I loved because I hate that feeling of just blah after eating Chinese food they have typical Americanized Chinese food so I don’t know why people were saying there wasn’t any Chinese food it’s an American Chinese restaurant they’re not authentic Chinese food and also I seen somebody say make sure that you don’t waste because they will charge you you pay before you even sit down with my experience, they didn’t charge us extra for what we didn’t eat. I also love the fact that they give you cups and you get to fill your own drink up and I also love the fact that they actually let you eat every Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been at. They are constantly at your table and I feel like I’m constantly saying thank you no, I’m good thanks this place is not like that. They actually left you alone and you got to eat. They didn’t bother you at all. Yes, I will say it does look like it’s permanently closed from the outside, but it was actually , really good. I see reviews or people were saying the food wasn’t hot. Everything that I ate was good and I tried a little bit of everything. I didn’t get one thing that was cold that was supposed to be warm. I guess everybody has their own opinion, but as somebody who is a stickler for Chinese food and literally has a specific place that I typically only eat at I will tell you this place beat the place that I am dedicated to. I had one Chinese restaurant in my town and it’s the only place that I would go to because their food is like a one perfection, but I ate this place and I was like hold up. Wait a minute I’m sorry but my home Chinese restaurant they didn’t win this place took place and now I live all the way in Shepherdsville so my home Chinese restaurant is China buffet and I have to say if I wasn’t moving to Lebanon, I would drive from Shepherdsville to Lebanon. Just eat Chinese food. I didn’t get sick. Nothing made me feel sick to my stomach nothing and I literally ate a little bit of everything and I loved the fact that they had the bacon wrapped imitation, the buffet and Shepherdsville used to have that and they no longer do also this Chinese restaurant had the coconut chicken, which is one of my all-time favorite things ever and it’s so hard to find at Chinese restaurants, but this place has it and it was really good and everything tasted fresh crystal buffet thank you for the amazing food. You definitely did your thing and yesterday was Monday and today I’m coming back to eat some more food but I want to say anybody out there it’s reading the reviews don’t go by what everyone else says. Try it out for yourself because you will be surprised , how good they actually are and they get a lot of service too believe it or not. Being very new to the area we decided to try the buffet. The sanitation score seemed great considering the curbside appeal made us second guess our choice. We were greeted by a very nice young lady. It was 7:40pm and the door stated they close at 9:30pm so I figured we had plenty of time. I noticed very small portions on the buffet. When I asked if they could fill 2 items I was immediately told NO. I was very surprised considering this is "all you can eat" yet many items were close to empty or cold and the restaurant is still open for almost 2 hours. When I spoke to the cashier she stated they CAN make more all we have to do is ask. Well alright, cool. So we waited a few minutes and when the "new" items came out they were hot but the chicken was hard and obviously old meat that had been reheated. We were very disappointed and will not be back. This place was an interesting place. I don't really understand why they ask their employees to sound Asian around customers especially when the dude if pretending to not understand English even when all I was saying was that I would wait for my friends. There's no problem getting my own food especially when it's a buffet so I don't see a problem with that. The sushi is an obvious trick. Don't eat it. It's all just rice so you will eat the least amount of food. I though it was funny how badly they were rolled. The Chow Mein was epic though it's always what I look forward too.
