First time I had been to this restaurant in a while, but thought I would give it another shot.
First we get there and had to wait 20 minutes and literally flag down a server to take our drink order. The restaurant was not even that busy and it literally took 20 minutes.
As we are getting up to literally pay for our drinks and walk out the server magically appears. Only to look at us like we have two heads and refuse to give us menus when we ask. Instead he just points to a scanner code on the side of a napkin holder to use a smartphone app through.
During this time my friend and I watched no fewer than 6 people receive paper menus for their take out customers, but apparently we did not even rate paper menus.
I will point out that I go out to eat a lot, and have been to 2 other Mexican themed restaurants that both seemly had no problems giving their customers menus. They are just wiped down after each use.
COVID should not be an excuse for lazy service in a restaurant. Especially when the restaurant is not even close to half full.
So then we finally order our food and it takes forever for them to bring it out. After all of that waiting imagine my disappointment when I start eating my meal only to realize that the ground beef had zero flavor in all 3 of the things on my plate.
It literally tasted like someone had just browned the ground beef without any seasoning at all and just tossed it on the plate. Of course, the server who had been MIA for the longest time when we had walked in was very prompt about coming to the table to hand us our bill. (Which was the only thing that he was prompt about the entire time we were there.)
Honestly, if my friends had not been with me I would have walked out after waiting 20 minutes in a near empty restaurant to place a drink order.
This level of service is embarrassing and I should not have to get up and find a server on a meal that I dropped that much money on. Plus the mealwas so bland. I could not even finish it. So disappointing.
I have ordered that same dish from another Mexican restaurant in the area 20+ times and it was 100 times better.
I have eaten here in the past and have had fairly pleasant experiences (which is the only reason that this review got 2 stars instead of the 1 that this visit deserved) but after this experience I will think long and hard before I ever go back.
There are better places to...
Read moreI'm not sure how this place has received so many positive reviews. I'm assuming they're all from local people who don't know good mexican food. It took us almost an hour to get our food. The table behind us sat down and began being served about ten minutes later. We still hadn't received any food. When we did receive our food, we realized we should've just left. The chicken was SO salty that it was almost inedible and the refried beans tasted like they came straight from a can. We saw a table across the restaurant with physical menus, so when we still hadn't been given menus, we asked to see menus and were told to scan the QR code on the napkin dispenser. That was odd to us. Every single table around us received food before us. I don't know if the people knew we weren't locals, or if there was something off putting about us, but we certainly...
Read moreFood was excellent. Oh my GOD, I enjoyed my dinner. I had a Carne Asada Burrito with rice and beans. If you go, get one.
The tortilla chips and salsa were perfect. The chips at a just right crispness and the salsa was just the right heat.
The server Tony was pure disrespect. When I ordered my mother in laws burrito, the same as mine, I told him NO cheese or dairy products.
When our food showed up, there was cheese on the burrito.
I explained to him that Sharon was allergic to dairy and he argued with me about the cheese.
He then took the plate, scraped the cheese off and brought it back.
There was still pieces of cheese when it came back.
The bright side was the bus person Brent, he was super nice and very helpful.
I went back. The food is still excellent.
This time I had much better service. I even gave the...
