I have never left a review so low. My wife and I were in town for a special release at a local distillery. Been standing in line in the cold and dark since 6 am. A good hot breakfast at 930 sounded great. This was not the place.
Pictures of their menu looked fantastic. We were excited to get in and order. When we drove up to the location it reminded me of a run down waffle house.
Inside, the place was a little grimey. I've eaten some of my best meals from a greasy and sticky café table in a casino in Reno, so this wasn't going to sway me.
Service was a little slow, but more inattentive. When we ordered, my wife and I both ordered the Big House. Ham steak, eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy. How could that not be amazing, well, let me tell you. Because I got a crash course in how to royally screw up a simple breakfast. Our "ham steaks" were damn near beef jerky. I've had lunch meat cut thicker. Super dry, I mean like beef jerky dry. And zero ham-like flavor. They were covered in salt. I know pork is a salty meat, this was not that. These poor things had been salted to within an inch of actually becoming some sort of jerky. My wife's scrambled eggs were not cooked. They were still very runny and dribbled off her fork. She immediately out her first bite down and that was it. She was done with her meal. My eggs were fried, over medium. They were actually fried over medium, but I believe I discovered the location of the other half of the salt shaker. It was on the fried eggs. The hash browns were a fozen noodle looking potato thing. Unfortunately both mine and my wife's were slimy. As if they had been thawed and sat out for quite a while.
My coffee cup sat empty after its initial refill. Like I was limited to only one refill or something. The server never returned. Never stopped to aks how our meal was, if everything was okay, which could have gone a long way toward rectifying the situation. I would have simply asked them to take the food away and we would leave. I do not send food back to be re made. Ever.
Neither of us even touched out biscuits and gravy.
When it came time to leave, I informed our server who was also running the cash register. She said, "wow, I'm sorry, that'll be $40 and (whatever the change was)" my jaw hit the floor. Neither of us ate more than 2 bites of our meals.
I will never return here, or to any other Huddle House. I had never heard of them and I can now assume it's for good reason. I was furious. As I was paying (I really shouldn't have, but I did) the gentleman that went to clear our table noticed Noone had touched their food and looked at me and made eye contact contact. I said, "yeah, neither of us would touch that food." He just looked away. No questions. Not a care in the world.
My only hope is that this review will save someone from the worst meal of their life. Good luck to you all, and stay away from this place.
I never send food back. You get it right the first time, or I go elsewhere. It's simple. And if I dont eat the terrible excuse for food you out at my table, you sure as hell better be prepared to refund or not charge me.
Huddle House. If you see this and refund my ticket, id be happy to upgrade a star or two to show you at least reached out and cared. And I'll update the review as well. But if you dont care any more than the employees did, I dont expect to hear from...

Read moreAbsolutely abhorrent food, and service so slow we almost canceled our order and left before food got to our table (I wish we had!)
We had 4 meals and only one was even close to correct (or edible). Pancake platter: came as a waffle. Cheeseburger meal: burger was somehow burnt and cold at the same time, truly remarkable. Meat omelet: a crime against humanity honestly. Completely inedible and looked straight up like a deep fried tostada, in color and texture (I'm not even certain if real eggs were used in this abomination's creation.)
And finally the true prize of the evening: a blt that had no bacon on it. I guess the B stands for bread. I was so beside myself I took a picture of it just to make sure I wasn't imagining it (I'd attach the pic to this review if I knew how!)
Also our appetizer came out after our meal. Defeats the point of an appetizer (the cheese and bacon fries were at least tasty though.)
The cook's name was Tristan and I only know that because the waitress said it loud enough to hear when she took my baconless blt back to him, to which he said "oops" and walked away from her.
The whole meal felt like a health hazard to consume and we left with our plates mostly untouched. They offered to remake my blt but after seeing the other lab experiments that came out of their kitchen, I politely declined.
Won't be back and would only recommend someone eat here if I felt like they deserved to be punished for...
