Wow! Between the high quality of all of their baked goods and the friendliness of the staff, it is clear why Hazella has received five stars from every single reviewer! We were passing through town and happened to walk in there about five minutes before closing time. We walked in as Rebecca and Michael were cleaning up, uncertain of how we would be received at such a late time, and were welcomed as if we had just walked in at opening time. They had a handful of sweet and savory options left over. We got a box of them to go, and every one of them was top-notch!
We also spent a good 10 minutes talking to them, learning about their backgrounds and their perspectives on the community. It is clear they take an enormous amount of pride in their community and have a lot of love for the people around them. Lebanon is lucky to have such wonderful people bringing such wonderful things to their town, and they literally told us about how lucky theyâve been to have such wonderful people around them supporting their business. They are one of several things that has caught our eye about the community, have given us food for thought (Ha! Get it!) about places we may want to settle for the long term. We canât wait...
Read moreToday I had the pleasure of visiting this local treasure. I did not disclose that I write reviews. This bakery is truly a Lebanon gem. I was greeted by a clean and cute environment, the smiling and friendly Michael welcomed me with pride to his bakery. The case was stocked with both sweet and savory pastries baked to sheer perfection. To say the selection was simple would be incorrect. There was a selection of pastry that was not at all fancy or fussy. I took home some of every item. To my delight each was baked to perfection with perfect texture. The flavors were spot on. Actually, I think I am in lust with this bakery. Not only were the pastries warm and delicious, Michael was humble and friendly and welcoming. The whole experience left me feeling satisfied. This little bakery also makes home-made Stroopwaffles, a pastry near and dear to my heart. The flavor was spot on, I would like the caramel a little smoother. Stroopwaffle making is an ancient art. Imagine my surprise finding it being practiced. I highly recommed everybody visit this local bakery to satisfy your belly and warm your hearts. I would give them 10 stars if I could...yes, the bake...

From the moment you walk in, the happy hum of voices filling this small storefront lets you know youâve found a special place.
Hazellaâs makes it worth your while to get off of I-5 and take the short, pretty drive out to Lebanon. Once there, grab your goodies and take in the rest of the thriving downtown full of local businesses.
This is good food, made by folks who take pride in what they offer. Hazellaâs isnât scrimping on ingredients, or time. The result is delicate baked goods, both innovative and traditional, that melt in the mouth.
Try any of their offerings made with puff pastry, combined with either sweet or savory flavors: local fruit, pastry cream and cardamom, ham and Gruyère, etc. It was hard to choose a favorite.
Also, keep an eye open for bierocks. Iâd show you a photo of the chicken curry bierock, but we ate them too fast to take one. Theyâve nailed the dough, and the dough to filling ratio. The curried chicken filling, while far from the traditional beef, cabbage, and the onion,...
