The owners have allowed their children to run the counter and it is a problem. Food is still 3-stars, but my experience tonight was not good. I love seeing kids work willingly and to be part of a family business is wonderfully nostalgic. At first their boy was doing well. He had trouble finding my order but once he did he collected my money. The order was not complete and I waited about 8 minutes, no big deal. I noticed the boy has left the counter and sat at a table in front of the counter with his cell phone in hand.
I asked after a few minutes if he could check on my order. He said, “Oh it’s her turn now,” pointing at his sister. She was busy with another customer, which became 2 customers, and after several more minutes I told the boy since I had paid him, he should check on my order. He sighed a proper teenager “oh jeesh” and walked toward the kitchen briefly only to come back to the table, saying, “It’s too busy back there.”
Meanwhile, the girl, who repeatedly wiped her running nose with her hand, gave a receipt to a customer and made a positive customer engagement by personalizing the exchange, saying, “Here you go, Jerry.” The man said “Ok, but it’s Gary.” The girl replied, “Potato - potahto, same thing!” The man’s chuckles and said, “Not to me, it isn’t.”
I looked straight at her, shaking my head. She blurted, “What?” at me. I said her comment was inappropriate and not something to be said to a customer. She defended herself, saying defiantly, “Same thing!”
I think the parents have some work to do, but in the meantime I will take my business 6.3 miles further to China 1 in Leesburg. They have good food and are always friendly and appreciative of...
Read moreOn Saturday, August 27, 2022 we ordered online our meals that totaled $31.46. The order was six fried dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, and General Tso’s Chicken. Upon arrival I gave the employee the name on the order. She then asked what the order was. I honestly didn’t know what my boyfriend ordered, but I told her it had a sweet ‘n sour chicken and provided my boyfriend’s name on the order. Her attitude was horrible! She demanded a phone number and after providing it, she said their was no order for that number. She then proceeded to look at her computer and asked if it was an online order, I said yes. She practically scolded me, saying that I should have told her that. In the meantime, a customer entered the establishment. The same women just raced to him and handed him his food. No, “thank you for you order, “have a good evening”. The customer noticed her rudeness and sarcastically said, “you’re welcome”. So, I knew it wasn’t just me that she was rude to. My boyfriend works hard to earn a living, and we only eat out once in a while. Restaurants, especially family owned restaurants need to realize, it’s the customers that keep their doors open. All we ask is for good food, a reasonable price, and good customer service. When this is not provided, it makes for a very disappointing experience. Just be nice. I will note, the food was good. However, we will think twice before spending hard earned money at this...
Read moreSome of the worst food I have ever tasted. So bland, yet so greasy. I can tell that the oil they are cooking with for anything fried has not been changed in a while. The dough they use for all fried food is laced with way to much suger. I got three items from this place: Chicken Lo Mien, General Tso's, and an egg roll. It took one bite from each of the dishes to know that we were not going to be eating anymore of this trash. I have read the previous reviews dating back nearly 3-4 months. This problem is ongoing, I ask that everyone reading this realize. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING SOME MONEY OFF YOU. They are putting together stuff that I would barely call food. I would like to think that I went to the restaurant at a bad time. Though even if the food was twice as good, it would only be half as good as the next place... Very sad, the...
