Captain D's — Restaurant in Leesville

This should be a one star review but It's hard for me to do that when it's the actions of one in particular person. Came in for a visit today the first time I have been in a Captian Ds in a very long time. I am from out of town so this Store in particular is New for me. The lady behind the counter taking our order was upset from the very moment we walked in. My very first question to her was if they still had lobster rolls? Her reply was do you see a sign for them anywhere? I said no and she was like ok then ! From that point on No matter how respectful Me,my wife or my two children were to her she was very snappy and angry . I was later told by another employee that her Name is Ms Deena. "MS Denna" I am not sure what we said or did to you. It's hard for me to understand why you treated us much different then other customers. Is it because you were having a bad day or Maybe the fact we are white is the reason we were treated much differently? Why were you so angry and short tempered? I really hate to think that My Race was the reason you made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. Even my 9yo the one who was telling you Please,Thank you , Yes ma'am and No ma'am and you completely ignored him even after telling you to have a nice day couldn't understand what he did wrong to you. I have struggled to write this all day. I am not a hateful or a prejudice person and have nothing but love for you. It just really bothers me as to why you didn't want us there ! As for the rest of your employees the ones we interacted with were very Pleasant especially Olivia. The food was hot and fresh . My wife's Potatoe was hard but Olivia took care of it with no problems. Unfortunately I will not be back. I do not want my kids or myself being in another unwelcoming situation or for us to be talked down to like lesser...

Updated review... After this terrible encounter, I did completely forget to update this review & I apologize. We as customers are quick to say the terrible reviews and slow to explain the good ones! #Guilty 🫡. But the District Manager reached out to me to personally apologize and offer 2 coupon meals to replace this horrible meal & for the one I received prior to this but did not call in. I fully accept his apology and acknowledgment of my experience as it was refreshing to receive from a business. Thanks! I used my replacement coupons a few weeks later, and the meals were hot & fresh! I admit, I wasn't angrily fuming and was very hungry after getting off a long days work like last time, so no. I did not take pictures but I am acknowledging how they handled everything! Thanks!

I just left Captain D's in Leesville La 71446 and ordered the DELUXE SPICY SEAFOOD PLATTER, order # 0122 and paid nearly $15.00 (12.99 + tax 1.30=14.29) only to get all the way home and open my food and THIS FISH IS OLD AS THE FOOD THEY COOKED AT LUNCH TIME! Mind you, it's 7:25pm! It's hard and very burnt dark. You can tell it was dropped back in the grease to give the illusion that it's hot. No, ITS OLD! Clearly, no where close to being fresh! The fish is very dry inside. The shrimp chew like rubber. The fries ARE COLD. The stuffed crab is NOT IT! It's just full of grease from being dropped back in the grease. Not sure of the staff or the managers name was for tonight but it was two younger girls at the front taking orders. I’m new to the Ft. Polk area and they were very polite and was telling me about different schools and local areas for my young children. The manager on the shift came from around back of the kitchen area and was talking with us as he verified and accepted the military discount. A few mins went by while I waited on my food and both the young ladies up front continued to just talk with me and make me feel like I was at home telling me about the area. After I got my food and sat down a few moments went by and they came around the counter not just to me but to the other 4 patrons eating and asked if everything was good if they could get anything for anyone. All in all they were very polite and friendly. Great employees and I will definitely eat there again.
