We went here for a birthday observation and Father's Day. My daughter ordered a drink, she told the server it wasn't good and tasted like dish water. He had served myself a Diet Pepsi and my 4 year grandson a soft drink in a disposable cup. She asked for another drink instead and he quickly told her she would have to pay for the drink that she didn't like. I told my daughter I didn't like the way things were panning out, she was getting mad also. We decided to get up and leave, knowing they would charge us for everything. We knew we weren't in a friendly environment, my daughter waited her turn at the register and the host laughed at her when she asked for a manager and said there wasn't one. After pressing him, he said he was the closest thing they had to one, he was very, very young compared to all the other staff. He charged her $13.43 and told her you couldn't get "free things" and when you went to a business you had to pay. I chimed in and told him that if you went next door to Walmart and got something that had a flaw, they refund your money, most reputable places do. I promised him a "nice" review for his condescending and unfriendly attitude. And I also advised him that he might get my daughter's money this time, but never again. We drove across town to the most reliable Mexican joint in town, Mi Camino Real, and although they messed up my order that night, I took it with pleasure and didn't say anything because they were nice and genuinely friendly as always, and deserved our money. We will not be changing future plans and would advise against El Patron for anyone with children or anyone looking to be treated fairly while spending their...

Worst service I have ever had. 3 of our orders were wrong. Our waitress was very rude. I ordered my meal from the kids menu which the menu said you could for an extra 1.50. When I told the waitress my order she kind of laughed and said the kids taco salad? I said yes I will pay the extra money for it. She then says are you sure that will be enough for you which I thought was extremely rude. We never received any drink refills. There was plenty of workers and was not busy. While everyone was ordering she was busy looking around at what was going on everywhere else instead of paying attention to our orders. Like I said 3 of our orders were wrong so they were remade and 1 of the orders was still wrong after it had been remade. I am talking about easy things. My daughter asked for a plain cheeseburger but there was mayo on it. One order was supposed to be steak but gave us chicken. One of my kids had to stop her to ask for a refill. We were not given silverware when we were seated so we had to ask for it. Every interaction we had with our waitress she rolled her eyes and seemed put out for her having to do her job. I am a good tipper. I always have been because I know that is how waitress and waiters make their money. So when we all go out to eat the gratuity is usually added to the bill because of the size of our group. Normally I tip well above that 15% exspecially when we have good service. However in a situation like this she did not deserve a 20.00 tip because all she did was take our orders and she didn't even do that right. Save your money and go...

I wish I could give this place zero stars but unfortunately that is not an option. This is my first and last time that I will eat at this restaurant. Our waiter was extremely rude and unfriendly. When he approached our table and asked for our drink order I told him that I would like a lemonade and for my children (ages 4 and 2) a sprite and lemonade. Instead he brought my children two lemonades and myself a sweet tea. When I told him that the drinks were incorrect he huffed and took my sweet tea away and returned with a lemonade and walked away again this time without leaving a straw. My father in law kindly asked him for a straw and he again huffed and attempted to hand the straw to my father in law and then suddenly handed the straw to me. The wait for the food was even worst and mind you the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. This server brought my father in law and brother in law their food first to include serving the neighboring table their food. Mind you my father in law ordered the works (not kidding or over exaggerating) whereas we had ordered chicken tenders and a fiesta burger (cheeseburger). It took this waiter an additional 10 minutes to return with our food adding no apology or explanation as to why the wait was so long....

I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so rude by anyone purporting to be a “service” business. Orders are constantly wrong. Normally I just grin and bear it but I ordered fajitas for 2… drive home (30 mins) and see there are no tortillas or onions. So basically I got Mexican salad plates which go in the trash anyways and a tray of meat (chicken and steak but I ordered steak only) for 30$!!!!! What a joke. I call and “Reuben” has the gall to say “and?” After I tell him after driving home I have nothing to eat my plate of meat with… they forgot silverware as well to complete the experience. No one wants to eat fajitas without tortillas… he said well you can drive back here (1 hour round trip) and I will give you tortillas… wow thanks! Honestly I’ve ate at this place pretty regularly as there isn’t much else around but I will NEVER set foot in there again. This kid literally said “no you can’t talk to a manager… I said who is the manager? He said I don’t know… me I guess?” And laughed. Honestly I could get over the screw up but being talked to as if they could care less and no attempt at all to make it right makes me not want to give them any of my money.

El Patron Mexican Grill in Clarkson, Kentucky was what you would expect from a typical Tex Mex restaurant. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. I had a combination plate, with enchiladas and chili relleno and refried beans. The Chile relleno was over breaded and soggy. The chips and salsa were good. Several in our party got natcho plates that looked amazing. The service was excellent and the decor nice. Good experience overall.

Stopped in for a late lunch, wife and I both ordered Pollo con Arroz, Rice covered with Chicken. Ingredients included onions 🌰 peppers 🌶 and mushrooms 🍄 😋. So delicious, and the portions were huge, we brought a second meal home in a box.
