Hardee’s — Restaurant in Leland

Yeah, so this happened. My husband ordered a Nashville hot biscuit and a chicken biscuit, both combos, from Hardee’s. He checks the bag, and he sees two biscuits and two hash browns. So, he didn’t think anything of it. But when we got home—15 minutes away, mind you—it was two rotted, smelly, stinky, putrid bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits. “McScuse me?!” These things smelled like they had been incubating in a dumpster sauna. You could’ve knocked someone out with that smell.

So, my husband, being the trooper he is, drove 15 minutes back to Hardee’s because eggs will give me bowel movements, and that’s not how I planned to spend my morning. When he got to the counter, he asked the employee—who looked like they hated everything, including us—if they could fix the order. Oh, and while they were at it, reheat the hash browns because by now, they were soggy and looked like someone stepped on them, kicked them down the street, and then handed them back to us like it was fine.

Now, here’s the kicker. We politely asked if they could give us something for the inconvenience. A fresh hash brown, a coupon, maybe just a simple “our bad.” But nope. We got nothing. Just the corrected food, tossed at us like, “Take it and leave.”

This was a complete disaster. Hardee’s, you had one job, and you failed miserably. We will never be coming back. If I wanted to deal with cold, soggy hash browns and a breakfast that ruins my day, I’d stay home and...

I haven't put a review til now but we ordered 2 simple combos this morning without any special requests and didn't receive anything to eat with for the biscuit and gravy. The hash rounds (that we had to pull up to wait for) we're dark brown and tasted like chicken. Time to change the grease before this happens. Pulling up is nothing new. That is every time for nearly everyone. Then looked into the bag and was missing the apple pies. Called and was told eating utinsels were free and we could drive back and get the apple pies. Umm no. I called to let them know that they maybe needed to check the orders better before walking them out to the vehicles especially since it is like 5 minutes wait and no other customers. I used the drive through to order their new BLT chicken ranch sandwich. The staff member was very friendly, the food arrived quickly, hot and fresh. The sandwich was aesthetically pleasing and I was excited to try it. However, I must be the only southerner in the world who does not like ranch. I knew ordering the sandwich I was taking a risk with the ranch. Next time I will try it minus the ranch adding mayonnaise. The bacon portion of the sandwich was nice and thick, and there was plenty of bacon to cover the breast, very satisfying. Only a single tomato, but it was large enough.
