Today, at the 74/76 cut off on 5/29/2024 I went in to order a snack of a large order of French Fries at around 1 o'clock. I went up to the register, which has been reduced from 4 registers to 2 registers and waited for several minutes before making eye contact with an employee. She ignored me and continued to work the drive through. Finally, another employee also working drive through noticed me, but it was another minute before she finished getting an order up at drive though and came over to take my order. I paid cash and she then she helped the customer behind me who has been also waiting almost as long as I. Apparently, no one manned the inside cash registers at all to Including the time it took for me to finish my snack at the table. While I then waited at the small window inside much like the drive through window for someone to get my order up, a few minutes ticked off and finally the original employee who noticed me first called out my order, "single order of fries" and she threw the paper bag into the small pickup window inside saving her the extra step she would have had to take to give me my order. I had watched her get the order threw the small window and so yelled, "three ketchups please" at her back, twice, before she responded to complete my order. As she returned with 3 ketchup packs to drop into my paper bag she said, you don't have to yell. I yelled "thank you" and took possession of my order. While I eat my fries which I had to dump on the table because I had no paper napkin, no plate, or anything else to spread my fried out to put the ketchup on I had time to admire the new décor which I can only describe as dull and non-descript. The window view of the parking lot and passing traffic was more interesting. I have many good memories of this McDonalds, decorated images of the Battleship, plantations, flowers, and even artifacts from the local past which gave me a feeling that this was my McDonalds. Now, I almost regret McDonalds has not made the full metamorphoses to machine McDonalds food untouched by human hands and attended by AI intelligence and voices. But I wonder, will it remember to put ketchup with my order of fries? Will it make me wait ten minutes before it boots up to take my order? But most importantly, will I be able to afford eat at McDonalds? For what I'm getting at McDonalds now, I would do better to go to a...
Read moreWith the way McDonald's runs their operation. Inventory run with a precision, that they know how many sandwiches they can get it of a 5 gallon pail of pickles and software that tracks inventory usage (both sales and wastage). That they actually had run out of ketchup! No signs indicating they were out of products. Mobile ordering app had not been adjusted with info Plenty of options. (Call another McD, plenty in a 10 to 30 minute radius to purchase enough for a day or so; by some ketchup at a retail store and some condiment cups). Yes, this is going to cut into revenue, but I for one will not return to the McDonald's in Leland at the shops of Westgate. "Proper planning prevents piss poor performance", at this stage of the game, June '22 there is no excuse for this thing to happen (We've run out, is no longer an acceptable answer, businesses might be struggling but to not try to mitigate the problems and just expect customers to accept it are over, at the VERY LEAST something as trivial as a sign saying, "Sorry, due to situations beyond our control we [insert issue here]. We have attempted to [insert what you tried/ trying to do to resolve issue here]. We understand your frustration and ask for your patience till it is resolved. Again we apologize and thank you for your patience.

Communication is key, this isn't rocket science, let people know what is happening BEFORE they make choices not available to them. Acknowledge the issue, let them know what you are doing to resolve it. Being empathetic and asking for understanding. That will go a long way with customers. BTW, feel free to copy the template or use it as a starting point.
At this point a simple response of we don't have after the customer has ordered or requests something is NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE! Anything less is a...
Read moreNever had an issue until the other day. As I went through the drive through line I knew it would be one of those days... The pre-recorded voice as pleasant, that's where the service ends. I had to repeat my order 3 times. Still could not understand the drive through attendant. You can kinda tell when someone does not want to be there. As I drive through, their back door was wide open and loud music was coming from inside. The first window where I usually pay was unattended and the window was wide open. It gets to my turn to get my food. The attendant snatched my debit card, handed me the food. I'm still waiting for my card. I politely asked for my card and receipt...she only gives me the card. So I wait some more. She says to me "what". I said receipt. She roles her eyes and goes to get it. As she was having to give me my receipt, I had to stretch at least 3 feet out my window to get it from her. Then she yells at me and says. Don't you be snatching that out of my hand. Completely disrespectful. So I call the store and the shift manager told me who cares, I'm leaving this place at the end of the month. At this point, I...
