Update: This is my last visit. I love the food but I asked for a small side of guacamole and was charged $9. NINE DOLLARS. Plus tax. I should have been told it was going to be almost as much as the BURRITO for half of a smashed avocado with a little onion. Not acceptable. It was bad enough that their menu says guacamole is included in some things but when they serve it, it’s not…and they just shrug. (See previous review.) So this time, I ordered a SMALL SIDE and this is what happened. I questioned the bill, and was told it was correct with no shame. Unbelievable. I am truly angry.
Sad to have to cross off a favorite but this is not how you treat customers.
Previous review: Annoyance first: Chimichanga dinner says it comes with sour cream & GUACAMOLE. Got my lovely plate: no guacamole. Darling server (she is a darling) says it doesn't. I show her the menu. She says it hasn't come with guac for a long time. This is false advertising & not her fault. She should be empowered to provide the promised (and paid for) guacamole when asked for it. That kind of thing is very annoying. I'd have ordered something else. Otherwise, the food is always great, al pastor is especially delicious (with pineapple in it!), complimentary chips/salsa are good (though the salsa used to be better, more chunky, and today's chips were a bit overdone ), the marinated carrots are yummy and fresh , and although pretty pricey now for a non-fancy place, portions are generous. The lovely server is always here and always attentive. I'll just stick to a regular burrito to go & eat my own guacamole at home next time. Fix...
Read moreWay overpriced and horrible food. We just ordered take out from this place and it literally was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I would rather have eaten at Taco Bell and would have spent probably a quarter of what we did. They used dark chicken meat (or at least that is what I think it was, my bf said it looked like gopher meat , it was dark brown) in the tacos and enchiladas. Im not a Mexican food expert but I have eaten and made many Mexican dinners and NEVER have I EVER used or known anyone else to use crappy chicken leg meat, especially in a restaurant. The beans and the rice were tasteless, the portions were beyond small and they charged an extra .75 cents for a tablespoon of sour cream. They are using cheap crap to make everything and then charging you premium prices. You're a fool if you go here. ...
Read moreMy husband just got home from ordering in person. Carne asada dinner with 1 cheese enchilada, 1 horchata and steak burrito. Bill comes to more than $40. Cashier charges him for a a separate enchilada dinner. He tells her he didn't order the enchilada dinner, just 1 enchilada ($2). She doesn't know how to take it off the register, so he feels bad and just pays for it 😒. She gives him the big order. He realizes there is no horchata. She then hurries to make it and gives it to him. He gets all the way home and no friggin' tortillas for carne asada dinner. COMEEEEE ONNNN. It didn't even taste decent this time. Ive given this place a handful of chances and I've never had a time where they didn't screw something up. Get outta town. I miss really good Mexican food. Sorry for thinking it could be alright...
