EDIT: The first time I brought my car to you for brakes, recommended by a family member, I was impressed with the service and transparency, and follow up by a man named Elvis who I only assumed was the small business owner. After my last experience? I’m disgusted I paid $72 for an oil change for a 2020 Ford Fusion, and was not even told the price. Just charged and given my receipt by the sleezy guy working the front at 9 am who reeked of cigarettes and was so indifferent to the questions I had before I gave my keys. I pay at least $20 less at my dealership and my tires get rotated and everything checked out and topped off. Not to mention, after dealing with said above man, had to ask the guys at my dealership to make sure my oil was even changed or just manually imputed on my screen to say 100%. I was also told by the sleezy man, in order to figure out the problem with my check engine light, I would be charged $150, if the “basic” test couldn’t figure it out. That fee would NOT go towards the repair for whatever the diagnostic code was. I was also told I would be updated via text as I was last time, but had to call to see if my car was done. Once I arrived to pick it up, same guy asked if I was in a hurry. Yes, to get my car as far away from this place who cheats customers. Once he heard I would be taking my car to the dealership, it seemed he changed his tune on how simple the problem could be with my check engine light. Helpful note, this place offers a “shuttle service” once you drop your car off, within 15 minutes of location, when booking online and saying drop off. When I called to make sure two days ahead of my appointment, I was told within 5 miles, no question about where I live, nor the customer service to check upon my request, seeing as I’ve been there before and they have all my information. I actually had to tell them, it’s okay, I’ll look up the miles myself, which is 1.8 miles. It appears this “shuttle service” offered online is only when they feel like it. When I arrived, and realized an older woman was waiting for the “shuttle service”, I realized it was the sleezy guy who would be taking her home. No thank you! My dealership has a wonderful older man, checking in frequently within the waiting room, to see if anyone is waiting for the service. Much safer then KCC, who doesn’t appear to do criminal background checks on their employees. This place was used out of convenience due to proximity and referred to me, but I’ll be spreading the word. Also not sure how or why there are so many great reviews. I WAS one of them, but it seems like they’re a one and done customer service type.
I guess businesses have to make up for the shitty economy by trying to pull bs costs over seemingly unsuspecting women. Do NOT take your car here. For ANYTHING.

Read moreIf I could give this place no stars I definitely would. Horrible service and did not resolve my issue. I came there last week on a Thursday to have my car checked out for a knocking sound I kept hearing when i would accelerate and decelerate the vehicle. They told me they would check the car so I left and waited for them to contact me with what they found. A few hours later, they text me with a quote which states that my front suspension arms need to be replaced plus a wheel alignment. I agreed to the charge assuming they knew what they were doing and had thoroughly inspected the vehicle and determined the root of the noise.
I returned to the shop when they contacted me that the work was completed. After payment, I drove off and noticed right away the same noise but it seemed even worse now. I returned back and the man that i dealt with in the front told me that most likely it's my rusted rotors. I questioned that assessment and he told me the tech will put it back on the lift and show me. So he sends me in the back and the technician shows me how my rotors are rusted and that's for sure the reason for the noise. Which in the back of my mind i'm thinking, if you believe this is the noise then why did you give me back my vehicle with the same issue i came in with. I was basically charged $807 and it didn't resolve my problem. But like I said i was suspicious of that rusted rotor explanation. When the technician parked the car back outside and got out I asked him, did you notice that noise? And he said he did. So basically that confirmed my question once again, why was I given back my vehicle with the same if not louder noise that i came in there with.
I left the place pretty angry and felted my money was wasted. I drove it for the next few days still questioning their diagnosis. I decided to go to another shop and have them take a look, and after they drove it for 5 minutes or so they determined, it's definitely not the suspension arms or the rotors, they determined it was probably the drivetrain. They said they would put it up on the lift after the holiday to fully diagnose the problem.
After the holiday, they confirm that the issue is with the driveshaft and I need that replaced. I also was a bit wary of this as I told them the previous shop was certain it was the suspension arms and then the rotors. And they said, we are certain it is the problem. Well, today I picked up the vehicle and they were able to resolve my issue and I will be going there from now and I will make sure to let all my friends and family and whoever asks me that this KCC is not the place to get your car worked on. They either blatantly don't care about their work or they just want to take people's money without...
Read moreI Contacted KCC Auto & Truck Care In Homer Glen For Tires On My 2021 Subaru Outback. I Originally Chose Them As They Claim To Specialize In Foreign Vehicles. Hands Down The Worst Experience I Have Ever Had With An Auto Shop.
Saturday March 15th - I Called For Pricing On Tires And To Schedule An Appointment. We Scheduled For Monday March 17th @ 4:30pm.
Monday March 17th - I Arrive @ 4:30PM. I Checked In And They Took My Car Back Promptly. After About 5 Minutes Of Sitting In The Waiting Room, One Of The Mechanics Came Out And Said They Do Not Have My Tires In Yet. Not One Call Or Text Telling Me This Before I Drove Out There. Whatever. Mistakes Happen. I Figured While My Car Was Already In The Shop I Would Have Them Change The Oil. They Did. Used A Cheap Off Brand Filter Instead Of What Should Have Been Used (A Genuine Subaru Oil Filter). Left Engine Bay A Mess But I Wiped It Down Once I Got Home. After Oil Change Was Completed I was Told To Come Back The Next Day @ 4:30pm For My Tires (Tuesday March 18th).
Tuesday March 18th - I Arrived @ 4:30pm. Checked In And Gave Them My Keys. Walked To The Jewel Next Door For A Snack. After About 15 Minutes I Received A Text Saying They Accidentally Ordered The Wrong Tire Size. I Walked Back To See What We Could Do. I Desperately Needed Tires As My Front Passenger Side Tire Formed A Bubble In The Sidewall That Was Slowly Growing. Very Unsafe As The Tire Could Blow Out. The Tall Skinny Man At The Counter (Never Caught His Name) Apologized For Ordering The Wrong Tires. Said He Could Order The Right Tires And Have Them In Tomorrow. At This Point, I Was So Frustrated I Declined. 2 Long Trips On A Bad Tire For Nothing To Be Accomplished. And When I Mentioned The Off Brand Filter, His Response Was "We Can Put The Right One On If You Would Like." Why Not Do The Job Correctly The First Time? I Also Declined That. I Ended Up Taking It To Another Nearby Shop That Had Me Rolling With New Tires In Under 2 Hours. I Paid More Than KCC's Original Price, But It Was Worth Every Penny. Watch This Shop.
Side Note - Inside & Waiting Room Wreak Like Cigarettes....
