Casey's — Restaurant in Lenexa

Being from Texas originally, I can appreciate a good gas station with good food and after recently discovering Casey’s I have had nothing but great experiences EXCEPT for today at your location in Lenexa, KS on Woodland Drive.

On the morning of October 11 I went in to grab a quick breakfast and my husband went to grab a burrito and the first burrito was past the good by time, so he grabbed the next one behind it. The kitchen worker proceeded to make a scene and yell at him in front of the entire store and other customers about grabbing the next burrito instead of the one in front. This was extremely unprofessional but also if they had checked the times on the food they would have seen why he did not take that one. With the rising cost of items, I don’t think it’s too much to ask that a customer spending their hard earned cash can grab what food they want that is still fresh but also not be publicly berated for it!!

I will say the woman at the front register was very sweet and apologized on behalf of the kitchen worker, but at that point I was just wanting to get out of there as fast as possible.

I am SO embarrassed and will definitely not be returning to this location and am wary to return to other locations in case this is how your employees are being trained. If you are going to train employees to yell at customers for not grabbing the first item, I recommend you teach them to first ask why and make sure the food is still fresh or maybe just don’t yell at customers.

It is now May 2nd 2023 and it has been 10 months since my last update. The owners and/or managing partners are absolutely clueless on how to run and maintain a Casey's station. The place tonight is dirty and stained and outright gross. I took more pics for all to see. As of today i am recommiting myself to stay away from this place again. How could I trust the food quality when the staff is overworked and only staffed at 50% of what other stations are staffed at. The only way to get change in the works is to refrain to purchase anything here. We are all better off finding other locations that do care about the public perception and overall experience. Wake up owners and either sell this station or get involved and make some permanent decisions for your customers. Every time I have been here the lines are long and the staff looks beat down. They deserve better owners too. Time will tell.....

This by far has to be the dirtiest new gas station that I've ever seen and poorly managed. Obviously don't care about the customers because none of the 6 containers for windshield washing fluid have anything in them other than trash with bottles bottles and cups and other garbage. As you can see in the photos the grounds were filthy and I can promise I will never return here until they have a complete management overall and improve their facilities. This Casey's convenient store is like a Willy Wonka paradise. I have never seen such a wonderful array of treats, sweets, and salty snacks. Much of what Casey's has to offer I didn't even know existed. Mini thins? I didn't even know these were in production anymore. I'm a little surprised about all of the negative reviews. It must be due to staffing. This is a nice well-lit clean gas station. They have the famous Casey's pizza which is always hot and fresh. They have a very wide array of drinks and as previously mentioned, snacks. This is also in a nice part of Lenexa. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. It is a short distance off of highway 10. If you're traveling, it's worth going past the other convenience store you will pass on your right, just for the selection. It's twice the size with twice the amount of gas pumps as it's competitor. They have a full slate of fountain drinks and hot food. I generally prefer Quik Trip because it is safe, friendly with all of the conveniences, but this is the nicest Casey's I've ever been to and if it's worth a stop.
