Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Lenexa

Every single time I go to this store I am greeted with more than just service and a smile. The staff here not only makes my coffee beverage and food order perfectly, but they also go the extra mile to make me feel like a part of their Scooters family. I can not remember a single time my food or drink was not on par. The staff is always super kind, friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere of the store is extremely welcoming and the store itself is always clean and relaxing. As I sit to have my coffee I hear the staff treat everyone who walks into their store the same way, so I know I am not a special customer, everyone is. I have also been to the store when they have had community events, hosting for animal adoptions and the local soccer leagues. They certainly care for more than just going to work everyday. Ciabatta bacon breakfast sandwich was extremely underwhelming, almost laughable, if that and a small hot chocolate didn't cost seven and a half dollars I probably would have laughed. Didnt even slightly compare to a McDonald's $1.00 muffin sandwich. Much SMALLER and seriously not remotely like the photo on the menu. Bacon wasn't even of any significance, ... two HALF slices of soggy tissue-paper thin bacon. I do have to say their hot chocolate was great, far better than Starbucks sub-par hot chocolate, but the only reason I may go back is to give them a second chance by using the remainder of my gift card. If they can't do better than what I got today, I won't be spending of my own hard earned money there. Sorry Scooters, but I'm sure you can do...

My first and LAST time eating at Scooter’s Coffee. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good (bacon/egg/cheese on a ciabatta bun), on the smaller side but still good. Coffee was nothing special (just black). But it was the 2 black bugs drowning in my cup of water that made me think about what I’d just eaten. They filled the cup from a nearby sink with all kinds of health violations seemingly nearby. Absolutely disgusting when they merely dumped the cup down the open floor drain located right where the sandwiches are made. Maybe their Regulars don’t mind such a disgustingly gross place but Scooter’s, while maybe a good place for teenagers to work, is...
