Went here after church to meet with some friends for a Birthday get together. We had a total of 6 in our party.
There was a 15-20 minute wait, which we anticipated, as it appeared a lot of folks came here after church as well.
Immediately after being seated, the waitress asked if we were ready to order. We all looked at her and indicated that we'd just sat down. She then asked if we at least knew what we wanted to drink. She took out drink orders and left the table.
A few minutes later, she returned with a tray of drinks, which she placed at one end of the table, and started questioning who ordered what.
She then proceeded to hand each drink, to the person seated closest to her, so that we had to pass it to the appropriate individual.
I understand that it's not a 5 Star restaurant, nor did I expect her to serve it from the left, but at least try and remember who ordered what drink, and hand it directly to them.
She then took our order, answered some questions about some options, and asked how the check was going to be divided.
The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, with one order being a little delayed. That was a Fajita plate. It was delivered unceremoniously, and was neither streaming or sizzling.
We then discovered that most of our orders were warm at best. I had a side order of fries, which were warm also, and nothing special.
Our waitress checked in on us two times, each in passing, and just asking how everything was. She didn't really seem to want to be bothered with following up on each of our meals.
A few minutes later she delivered the two separate checks to our table, then walked away. She never came back, nor did she explain that we had to take the checks to the front cashier. So we were all sitting there wondering if she'd return.
We then decided to head toward the front, and discovered that was where we needed pay.
While looking at our bill we noticed that, 3 of our side orders had been written up on the bill, at the wrong price.
We commented to one another, if the prices on the menu were wrong, that should have been addressed while ordering.
I went ahead and paid the amount listed, but made an appropriate adjustment to the gratuity.
This is our second time trying this restaurant. We had been here about 2 years prior to this, and at that time, we were equally unimpressed. We won't...
Read moreWe have been getting take out form Casa Fiesta since we moved to Lenoir City from Detroit, a year and a half ago, and we have always been happy with our orders. However, today (3-4-22 @ 6:00pm) I dined inside for the first time and I was by myself. I ordered an appetizer of guacamole dip and an al a carte order of cheese enchiladas. To my disappointment, the salsa would not pour out of the bottle on my chips as it was super full of whole tomato pieces, the guac was already starting to turn brown and was tasteless, and worst of all were the cheese enchiladas which had a sweet sauce poured over the top which I have never tasted before in my whole life, and minimal cheese inside each enchilada and none on top ???????? This was very hard for me to believe, chips and salsa, guacamole, and cheese enchiladas are the most basic Mexican foods !!!!!! I'm not saying we (my wife included) will never go back, but we will continue carry out ordering the things I love to eat at Casa Fiesta ! carnitas with green salsa, Chile Colorado, carne asada, camarones a la diabla, fish taco's..........Sorry, but my dinner was so poor I had to say somthing ....normally I would give a 4.0...
Read moreWe were traveling south from Smokey mountains and decided to find Mexican restaurant on way home ... googled ones in Lenoir City and this one popped up with good reviews. Yes free cheese and bean dip also convinced us to go and a full parking lot along with a wait was another good sign. Yes it was Sunday after church so maybe I can’t use that! My husband was afraid to order spicy while traveling,so he ordered hamburger w fries and it was average. My dish was amazing! Pollo Aztec, added grilled jalapeños. Grilled perfectly together. Onions were done and did not overwhelm the dish , pineapple was small pieces and appeared to be canned... which was fine with me . It came with 4 tortillas... most places only give 3. The salsa had some heat to it... since we have never been here we did not know where salsa bar was, did not see it set nor seen anyone go to it until the end of our meal. It stayed under a covered stainless steel cart. For the free cheese dip and bean dip... it is small bowl of retried beans with spoon white cheese dip it the middle. It was not bowl of each, just so u know. Overall good...
