The food was good. A little overpriced for the main menu, but kids prices were reasonable. There were two tables occupied when we arrived. We asked to sit outside, but they wouldn't let us. They said they didn't have enough servers. Again, I'll reiterate, there were only two tables occupied.
Service was a little lacking. It took us awhile to have our order taken. Kids menu didn't list a burger option, which I was a little shocked by since it's called, "The Burgers." The server said they did have a kids burger, not sure why it wasn't listed. I guess they didn't list it since it was $2 more than all the other kids menu items. Kids menu said it came with a drink. Asked about root beer and server said it was available, but didn't come with a refill. (We found out later that there was also a $2 upcharge for root beer which they didn't mention at all.)
For those of us who didn't get root beer, refills were supposed to be included. Problem was, we didn't see our server until they brought the bill. Still didn't offer refills at that point in time even though all our cups were empty.
Asked about additional charges for drinks and was told that was because we got root beer and there was no refills. We said we didn't get any refills and they said root beer didn't come with kids meals. We said then why tell us it was an option for the kids meals, or at least tell us there was an additional charge. Server said, okay whatever.
Food was good, but a little overpriced. Service was terrible. Only plus was after ordering, the food came out quickly. Probably won't be back.
Just wanted to add a positive note. The General Manager tracked me down and reached out to apologize. She was very apologetic about our experience and wanted to make things right. I recognize that people and businesses can have bad days. Personally the fact that they reached out to make things right speaks more than the bad experience. Because of this, we'll give them...
Read moreWe’ve eaten here 4 times and each time we hope the ribs will be as amazing as that first time, but it hasn’t happened yet. This weekend, though, was our last time.
This place is poorly managed. It wasn’t understaffed, but whoever decided they needed 2 teenage girls serving as hostess and table cleaners but otherwise doing nothing else to help needs their head examined. I don’t fault our server herself TOO much because she did seem to have several tables, but unlike many other restaurants, we never saw a manager or anyone else making rounds in a place with only 2/3 of the tables full, and because of that we all went without drink refills until we asked for them. And once we asked, it took far too long to get them. At one point my wife even took our glasses too the bar to get her first refill, after waiting several minutes.
During this whole time, the 2 hostesses sat a couple of tables and cleaned one, and most stood by the door chatting with each other and another server who came by.
I felt bad for the couple who was seated at a 2 top, asked to have a 4 top, was told no, and then sat there holding hands looking around for what seemed like 10 minutes waiting for anyone to greet them and take their drink order. We were seated before 5:30 and I feel sorry for the people who showed up once it was busy as we were leaving.
The ribs Saturday were mediocre at best. The first time I had them they were a 10/10. This weekend was 5/10 max - overcooked and far too much fat on the top. I’ve had better racks from Kroger.
$75 including tip for my wife, son, and I. We live 10 minutes from this location and won’t...
Read moreIf you're craving a taste of good ole Southern hospitality, look no further than The Burgers in Lenoir City, TN. From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt like we were coming home. The warm country atmosphere set the stage for a truly memorable dining experience.
One of the first things that struck us was the genuine smiles and enthusiasm of the staff. It was evident that everyone enjoyed being there, and their hospitality made us feel instantly welcome.
Now, let's talk about the food. The fact that the hamburgers are hand-made was a delightful surprise, and it definitely showed in the taste. My burger was hands down the best I've had in ages, and the variety on the menu was impressive. Even my wife, who isn't usually a hot dog fan, couldn't resist trying one, and she was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The side salad she ordered could have easily been a meal in itself, and the fries were so generous in portion that I doubt anyone could finish a basket alone.
To cap off our meal, we indulged in a slice of cheesecake, and let me tell you, it was heavenly. Each bite was a perfect blend of creamy goodness and sweet satisfaction.
Overall, our experience at The Burgers was the perfect end to a long day. Despite being far from home, we felt right at home thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and mouthwatering food. Thank you to the staff for making our visit so memorable. We'll definitely be...
