My Wife and I went there to have dinner today like we've done several times in the past but today was A completely different expierance. We have had the food several times before and it was delicious. Today was terrible. From the beginning, slow to be seated, like no one was working and it wasn't crowded at all. The salsa that was brought to us was like tomato soup it was so thin and the chips were almost crumbs, must have been the bottom of the bag. Our food was almost cold. My Wife had the Burrito combo, she said it just didn't taste good at all and was very runny. The best part was the sour cream she said lol. As for me I had the Rodeo Special as always. Just terrible, everything tasted so bland. My so called hard shell taco was mush from the grease. Everything else on my plate was so covered in some type of sauce it was almost like soup. But the tea was good lol. I finally got a refill right before we left. We used to love this place and I have recommended it to several people through the years. I'm not sure what has happened but wouldn't do it again. Time to find another Mexican...
Read moreLove Ayalas- our first time was in November during Thanksgiving and we were just tired of traditional American fare. Since then we have eaten there a dozen times often both Saturday and Sunday at lunch. Then I average take out once a week. Upon entering, you will be greeted with a smile and gracious for choosing to dine there from each member of staff you encounter. . Food is authentic - delicious and very affordable ! White Corn Chips and Salsa are my favorite because they bake chips to order. So always HOT and just enough salt ... The Shrimp Enchiladas, (Enchilada Sauce is so obviously authentic and something I crave afterward) Tamales and steak Quesadillas are our favorite entrees. If you love Mexican food and courage you to try today you will not be sorry . I only wish it was closer to my house when I need take out. . . 💯% satisfied ! Melissa...
Read moreWe spent $65 for our family for a variety of meals. First red flag was the fact that I paid $5 for a puny condiment cup of cheese dip. Theft. I had no idea it was that small and for that much money. We ordered tamales, chimichangas, arroz con pollo, and chile rellenos. Not a single one of those entrées, including the rice and beans we received as the sides, had a single millimeter of flavor. Not salt, not seasoning, nothing. It tasted like bland school lunch. This is the second time we’ve been here. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and just thought it was a bad day. But the food is just as poor and bland as the last time. I’m shocked at the lack of flavor and the expense of the food. This place is offensive to Mexican culture. There’s plenty of other wonderful and tasty Mexican restaurants around Lenoir that’s ran by locals. Go...
