In between appointments today I decided to dine alone at Cafe San Luis on Evers.
Walked in and there was a small line to get a table. I think this may be the norm for the restaurant since they only have 11 tables with 1 waitress. It was my turn to get the next available table but it turned out to be a table of 6. Clearly I didn't need all that room and instead of taking up the table and there was no big party waiting to be seated, I asked the older couple behind me if they wanted to share a table to which they agreed. Apparently, according to the waitress sharing tables is a norm for the restaurant 🤷🏽♀️
I purchased the huevos ranchero plate with a coffee and tea, I added 6 tacos to go for my family (3 bean/cheese, 2 carne guisade/cheese, and 1 chorizo/egg), And I decided to secretly pay for the older couple at my table (two plates with two drinks) Totaling $50.12 before tip
Overall, what I ordered was okay. I might have to try the tacos next time and maybe just place the order to go. Service, tho was...
Read moreFirst time here just picked up a couple of tacos. Place seems pretty clean smelled of industrial cleaner instead of good food though.
Had a machacado and a papa's rancheras taco.
Machacado is okay most people will like it I think. Taste like it's it's made out of the package dried beef.
Similar to Barbacoa taste except for the usual toughness of the package stuff.
Papa's Rancheros I'm pretty sure was made to order I would give that one closer to 4 stars it was close to being really tasty.
The flower tortillas are a little on the thick side for me.
The green sauce was ok however the red sauce that I had tasted like it had bad ice water melted into it.
The staff there seem to be working hard and enjoying being there. Nice to see...

One customer even came to our table stating , you guys have been 'sitting here for an hour', no food. Yes, this place needs anyone to OPEN a small restaurant on the same strip center. YOU will make at least $10)K net per month if you take their female cooks. WE will never go back. This is a...
