Time to Eat Bar and Grill LLC — Restaurant in Lewisburg

I went here today with my wife and son. We were the only ones in the place. It is a bit less clean than it used to be and there were no condiments on the tables anymore. First of all, they increased their prices dramatically. A double cheeseburger was 15 dollars with no sides. My wife and son both ordered the hot chicken sandwich, I ordered the fried port chop plate (because they were out of catfish). The hot chicken sandwich's looked good and they both liked them. The ketchup they eventually brought us was definitely rancid and should have been thrown away. The fries and okra I ordered as sides were good but very greasy. The pork chop was super greasy and otherwise tasteless and soggy. I took two bites and left it alone. When I went to pay, I told the server how bad my chop was. He said, "I'm sorry about that" with no solution or consideration. The total price for lunch (btw, I had an unsweet iced tea and my wife and son had iced water that was tainted by the fruit punch mix in the soda fountain) was $50 for 3 people. The food was very good. I was suprised when we walked into a small empty resturant when all the other meat and vegetable resturant were closed when looking on Tuesday. But it was open, no customers, a small resturant that was reopening after being closed. But the food was very good. The service was very friendly, wanted to please attitude, but minimal in table settings. I was very pleased with my meal. Senior menu was cheaper for meat and 2 sides and choice of drink. It was a minual setting but food was very good and service showed they wanted to give you good service. We talked with owner while we waited for food. He said they had just reopened after being closed for a while. I would go back for lunch while downtown anytime. I hope they get their numbers up again. We had high hopes for this place and were recommended it however I wish I listened to my gut and left instead, the floors were sticky and showed no signs that the place had been cleaned within the last few weeks, the food came out and was warm but had a strange flavor. There were no napkins in sight so I went to the restroom to clean my hands and that’s when it got much worse. There were spiders in the corners eating some kind of beetle or roach, there were dead roaches around the back area leading up to the bathrooms. Only after a brief 10 minutes of leaving the restaurant my entire party got ill and we had to cut our day short due to what we suspect was rampant food poisoning.
