I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Waffle House in Lewisburg, TN, and overall, it was a positive experience that left me satisfied. Here’s a detailed account of my visit, which should help anyone considering a trip to this location.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the parking lot is quite small. This might be an issue during peak hours, but fortunately, there’s plenty of additional parking available in the adjacent shopping center. This convenient alternative made parking hassle-free, even during a busy time.
Inside, the restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere typical of Waffle House locations. The décor is straightforward and functional, geared towards creating a comfortable dining experience. The seating arrangement is a mix of booths and counter seats, providing options depending on whether you're dining alone or with a group.
The service was decent, though it had room for improvement. Our waiter was friendly and courteous but needed a few reminders throughout the meal. For instance, we had to remind him to bring forgotten items and to refill our drinks. While these minor lapses didn’t significantly detract from our overall experience, it’s an area where some refinement could enhance customer satisfaction.
The menu at Waffle House is extensive, offering a wide variety of breakfast and diner-style options. I opted for one of their larger breakfast platters, which included eggs, hash browns, bacon, and a waffle. The food arrived hot and well-prepared. The eggs were cooked to my liking, the hash browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the bacon had the right amount of crispiness. The waffle was the highlight – fluffy, with a slight crunch on the edges, just as a good waffle should be.
One notable aspect of dining at Waffle House is the value for money. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. A useful tip for those dining with family or friends is that you can easily split the larger plate options with a child or another adult. This not only helps manage portion sizes but also makes the meal even more affordable. Sharing a big breakfast platter, for instance, can be a great way to enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank.
In addition to the main dishes, the side options and beverages are also worth mentioning. We tried a side of biscuits and gravy, which was flavorful and satisfying. The coffee, a staple at any diner, was fresh and robust, providing the perfect accompaniment to our meal.
Overall, my experience at the Waffle House in Lewisburg was positive. While the service could use some improvement in terms of attentiveness, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food made up for it. You will have the ability to park easily in the nearby shopping center despite its small...
Read moreGreat place to visit & eat. Clean restaurant, Clean bathrooms and great environment. Our only issue was My daughter ordered her food with hasbrowns smothered with mushrooms. When my daughter told the waitress that she received the wrong hashbrowns which were covered with jalapeños & mushrooms, the waitress told her that she was wrong. The waitress said she was writing it down as my daughter was speaking. This was completely unexpected having a server argue with a customer. Not only did she argue with her, she did it repeatedly. My daughter hates jalapeños and can’t handle spicy foods. This is the first time I have ever witnessed a server disagreeing with a paying customer. Needless to say the waitress was incorrect and it definitely brought the dining experience to an abrupt end. We were finishing up our meal and the waitress was literally cleaning the table while I still was eating. It was definitely a weird experience and made the occasion extremely...
Read moreI tried calling to chat this out with the cashier, but since there was no answer I’ll just let her know here. When I went to pickup my order the cashier asked me “why don’t yall who do pickup orders ever tip?” Completely taken aback and embarrassed because 1) there are several people around 2) my sister placed the order and not me and 3) we tip everywhere we go. We are good tippers. So I get in the car and tell my sister what happens and she said there wasn’t even an option to leave a tip, as I told the cashier might be the case. When I get home I go through the steps to place an order, and sure enough there was no option to leave a tip, but a note that says 10% gratuity is added on automatically for the person who preps the order. Hope this helps! Please don’t embarrass anymore customers over this. It was entirely...
