4 years ago this place was amazing, they need to close if they cant find employees to do the jobs of an open busy reasturant. This is the 2nd time we have been there and they can not serve a table all at once. Last time I got my food and finished before my husband got his food and this time he got his food and we even got the check before my food was at the table. They gave me a 10% discount on my meal which I do not consider acceptable for a meal we went to eat together and I had to have mine boxed up to go because it came after my husband had finished his entire dinner. I have been a cook in a reasturant before and a table goes out at the same time not 1 meal then 20 min later the other at the same table. Not only that it was 35 degrees outside and I am pretty sure it was that cold inside as well, thank goodness I was able to stop an employee to fill my tea pot with more hot water or I would have froze while watching my husband eat dinner. This will be our last visit to this establishment. If people ask we will definately not recommend it and from now on we will drive to Spring Hill to get good food and service.
Wow food was amazing thank you for opening in Lewisburg, much needed...
Read moreOver the last three years I eaten at Yamato and observed some issues in both management and the food quality. Usually I just stop frequenting a place that fails to meet my expiations. However, Lewisburg is quite limited in anything resembling fine dining, and I would be hopeful that this restaurant would succeed and as well set a high mark in its menu and service. Over these last three years the quality has successively fallen.
If their plan is to cut costs it is failing. I would be happy to pay more if the quality and consistency were commensurate. Last night I was served a Bento meal that I believe came from either a Costco or Kroger freezer. I am assuming that they cannot find a competent Asian chef and have a cook filling in who is best perhaps at the same low level fixings common in other Lewisburg locations. A place does not have to be fancy to have good food, just someone who knows the difference between Shrimp Tempura and that of Kentucky Fried...
Read moreWe will not be back. A few years ago, it was a pretty good place to eat. During Covid, we got crunchy rice once and said we wouldn’t be back… tonight, we decided to try again, and we can without uncertainty say that we will not be back! 1. The waitress was extremely unwelcoming and short with us. She does not need to be in that line of work. 2. It was 47 degrees outside and it was also 47 degrees inside the restaurant. My husband and I shivered throughout dinner. 3. The fried rice had no flavor… the only seasoning I could taste was black pepper. The chicken tasted and looked like it had been boiled and then teriyaki sauce heated over it. It did NOT taste like a hibachi meal. We will drive up the road a ways next time for a real hibachi experience, better food, a comfortable restaurant temperature, and kinder staff. Very disappointed in this local...
