As a prior Dominos employee (assistant Manager), let me start off by saying that I am very familiar with the quality of a fresh product as well as the order of how you correct a mistake (apologize, fix it, offer something more) that's Dominos code. I work 12hrs everyday and decided to choose Dominos here in Lewiston Idaho. Medium Pepperoni pizza, stuffed cheesy bread (spinach and Feta), lava cakes, and coke. When I get my order (which was unusually fast), I paid cash (tipped the driver $10 because you learn to never "stiff" your delivery person, that's how they make their money), and sat down to enjoy my food. I open the box and immediately take notice of the old flat color that pizza gets as it has sat for too long. The bottom of the pizza was dry but with a grease soaked ring around a few inches inward from the crust (this happens as it sits for too long, it doesn't stay "crisp"). The pepperoni was dry and chewy, the crust was mostly absent of their signature crust seasoning...it was just apparent that they sent me an old pizza to try and cut a corner on a busy night (which is no excuse). The cheesy bread was even overcooked (which means it was likely old as well and reheated through the oven), but I didn't complain about it. So I called them and got to speak to someone. I explained the pizza and he apologized, told me they were busy and that they had some new employees, I told him it was fine. He said he would send another pizza and I asked for some sauce cups this time as there weren't any prior, but I think you have to ask for those specifically now or they're not included. So after waiting, the second delivery driver shows up and I get a ranch and garlic sauce cup.....and no pizza. So I call again to ask and the I'm told I will have to speak to the manager as for some reason the pizza didn't get put in. So now I get to speak to this lady and I explain to her the pizza situation and how I know it's old. She was rude and I felt like she took offense in me sharing my knowledge of what the standard for quality is in a Dominos pizza. Oh well, maybe that standard has changed since my past employment with them. So then I further explain the remake that was put in but also did not arrive as I waited for it to only get sauce cups. She replies with a rude tone "well do you want the pizza or not?"....there was no apology, there was no compassion or consideration for their multiple mistakes...just her quick rude response. So yeah I took the pizza and didn't feel like going over her poor customer service approach. I just wanted a good product. There were zero offers or anything to make up for all of my time wasted. I tipped your driver well for his less than 2 mile delivery, but you didn't try to return the favor by taking better care of me the customer. I give this Dominos a solid 1 star because there isn't a half star as an option. I guess thanks for the...
Read moreI called to assess the status of my order after an hour wait time. I was greeted by the person who was said to be the one responsible for my delivery based on the app I used to order online. This was 35 minutes after they left the store and 45 minutes after the food had been said to leave the oven... An hour after my food was ordered. I was quoted 25-35 minutes online. I asked about my food and was informed there was a mixup, with silence that followed. they said they were making a new order after I said hello. No apology, no communication as to what happened... Just silence. I asked if there was anything they were able to do as a courtesy. More silence... I asked why there was silence and I heard communication on the other end asking them to re-take the order I had already ordered which they proceeded to do after I heard them explaining someone had eaten the food that was mistakenly handed out to the person in the background...I understand mistakes happen and so I asked why there was no call. I was informed they had called once and it was busy. I have to assume that they only called the one time which, as someone who was in the service sector for 15 years (including pizza,) I know this is not acceptable to only try once before giving up. I did not receive a call so there is potential for the phone company to have made the call drop and not go through but at the end of the day... I didn't receive it. after taking my call they said they would have it out asap...No apology, no offer for anything compensatory as a courtesy. I got off the phone and proceeded to think that It seemed a bit unacceptable so I called to speak with the manager who told the employee they were too busy and offered me a cookie or some breadsticks etc... via the person on the phone. No apology. I explained I had enough food and had already tipped 20% online for poor service. I am dissapointed that no care was provided to my situation busy or not. Never in my life would I allow an hour and a half wait to be acceptable with such a response. It would not suffice in a restaurant and should not be acceptable today. I am not happy. My food arrived 1.5 hours after the order and I feel robbed paying full price with a 20% tip that is non refundable through the app.. The manager said he would call back and never did...Food was luke warm...I never buy pizza anywhere else. Now, I'm afraid I won't support local dominoes again with such a poor response being my last impression, and it's a shame because I...
Read moreI ordered Domino's recently and since I live on the 3rd floor of my building, I figured I'd come down and meet the driver so they don't have to walk all the way up to my apartment. I usually do this actually. So I try to meet the delivery driver and ask if that's my order and he says no it's for so and so and proceeds to rush past me. Doesn't check the receipt, nothing. Just completely dismisses me. So I waited for him to walk all the way up to my apartment, see that nobody is there, then come down and admit that it was my order. I don't think I even received an apology. That was very rude. My food was cold on top of that as it took an hour to get to me. Wouldn't be the first time.
I decided to give them another chance today because I was really craving it but that was a mistake. I ordered cheesy bread and buffalo wings as I do normally, but this time I received a cup of buffalo wing sauce and some parmesan cheese with my order which stuck me as odd cause I didn't ask for any. This made me suspect that my wings had not been made correctly. Sure enough, I open the box and there was next to zero cheese or sauce on my wings. I paid over $7 for these. If I wanted plain chicken wings I would have ordered those. Appearantly I was expected to use the sauce and cheese they gave me to make up for that. Um, no.
Additionally, my bread had little to no cheese on the inside, so I essentially paid $7 for a loaf of bread. The portion sizes appear to have been cut in half as well, for both the bread and the chicken.
This is not the first time my order was late, cold, or otherwise subpar. I am done giving this place chances. The food is terrible, the staff is rude, and it's getting way too expensive. I'll get my pizza...
