Drove by recently and saw it was open. Looked interesting enough to give a try, especially since meat and rice is my wheel house. Food was good, well cooked, I tried the pineapple jerk as a first timer and didnt want to get sweated out. I felt the heat was lacking at first, but by the end there was a definite spice, little less than medium salsa I would say. Having never been I got a large plate to see what it amounted to. The large plate was $14. Here is where we run into problems. The large plate consisted of 4 or 5 pieces of leg quarters, maybe 2 cups of rice and some coleslaw(always a throw away to me but fresh and crisp). If this was 8 bucks, I'd eat there twice a week. But at 14, there is just no value there for me. 2 bucks worth of chicken and 50 cents in rice does not a 15 dollar meal make. Read moreMe and my husband pulled up last night and they were closed and they were so nice and pretty sure they gave us the plate of food they were gonna take home for the night and it was absolutely delicious best we had since we've been in Maine and we will definitely be back. Thank you to the very nice lady and gentleman that served us last night , we were so hungry we cleaned the plate before we ever pulled away... best ox tail and plantains I have had in a long long time ...
