New Ownership is terrible. I've ordered the lunch special for years, and it always came with a spring roll. The new ownership came in, and changed the lunch special to no longer include a spring roll but only sushi instead (Also increased the price by a dollar). I'm deathly allergic to shellfish, so after the first time receiving the sushi I asked if they could sub the sushi for a spring or literally anything that doesn't have shellfish. The employees would do this for me each week for about a month, until today I call and try and order my lunch special with a spring roll as a substitute for the sushi. The lady tells me she cannot do this as the owner has forbidden this. I ask to talk to the manager and he tells me sorry that is not an option. After explaining that I would literally go to the hospital if i ate it, he said sorry that's not an option and that I should cancel my order. Regardless to say, the old ownership would have NEVER acted like this and treat a more than weekly customer this way. Such a bummer that a staple in the area now treats this customers like subtier clients and truly shows how much they appreciate their customers. I'm a little disappointed with the food/service I received tonight. I've been ordering here for years since it was called Rice Pot and the food is usually very solid for the price. However, tonight I spent over 60 dollars for food that was cold and took an hour and a half to arrive. I know it's Friday night so I waited patiently for the food to arrive. After over an hour I called the store and politely asked if they had received my order. The person I spoke with just said that my order was in the system. I received no apology or explanation for the delay. After another 30 minutes, my food arrived. Most of the food was cold, including my chicken which was not only cold but overcooked. I work customer service so I somewhat understand but would have liked to at least received an apology or a coupon or something. I feel like I wasted 60 bucks of my hard earned money. While traveling for work in our semi, my husband and I craved some Asian food. We looked this place up and to be honest, based on some of the reviews about new ownership I had my reservations but I figured I didn't see anything about bad food so I went for it. Let me tell you, first if all, they surprised me because when I opened the bag I saw a dish that said "sample". Now if you're anything like me you know Asian people don't usually give anything away for free so I was shocked. When I opened the box though, I was blessed. Not just because I received a free sample but because it was a free sample of California Crunch Sushi (heart faints).
