I was in the mood for sushi and my favorite place isn't close to my house so I got on Google in search of a closer location with good reviews. Kanzi came up and after looking at their menu (which has tons of options) I decided to order the Geisha sushi roll with no cream cheese for takeout. When I placed the order online they said it would be ready in about 20 minutes but they were done in half the time. The people there were really nice and ensured me my roll was made as requested with no cream cheese. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had even wrote that on the box to ensure it was made correctly. I was extremely impressed by the presentation when I opened the box when I got home. There was a fresh flower inside the takeout box and plenty of soy sauce for the roll, giving me two portions instead of the typical one portion that I receive with other sushi take outs. A good amount of wasabi was also included, which was very much to my liking and more than one piece of jalapeno per slice. The roll was nice and thick. It was hard to put once piece in my mouth and be able to chew it so I started taking smaller bites...lol. The roll was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be back - next time I'll probably eat in the restaurant and enjoy the ambiance and some appetizers. I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and in the mood for some...

First time and last time we will dine here. Really wanted to like the place as the location is unique. Restauraunt was warm so the ac must be having issues. The service was friendly but slow, unprepared despite there being only 1 or 2 other tables. Forgetful and having to repeatedly ask for items requested. Asked 3 times for lemons and recieved limes, told them we asked for lemons only to be told they dont have any? Well why not say that in the first place? Presentation and portions were inappropriate for the price. The sashimi slices were not cut very well. The salmon sashimi tasted off and the miso soup was not hot. The salmon roe, quail egg and salad was good. Everyone was friendly but it was not enough for me to return. It's difficult to constructively criticize someone's work. My advice, take care of your customers needs and make it right if you fall short otherwise people are less likely to give you another chance. Spent $100 and felt very dissappinted from the whole experience.

Edit in response to the owner reply. I appreciate the reply. No one informed us about the ac being out ( not a big deal it was apparent) and I should have been more upfront about my bill. I was generous despite the experience and left $100 on a $78.50 bill to try and take care of the server and staff (not sure...

We’ve been here a couple times and have loved it since the first time. We have celebrated Father’s Day, wedding anniversaries and other special days in this restaurant. We loved everything we have ordered here. I’ve never tried the meat, but my father-in-law has made compliments about how soft it was. Sushi, noodles, and fish are a great. The salmon bento is tasty and well served. Last night we went to Kanzi and were debating whether we should take the food to go and dine in. Almost every table was taken. We chose to dine in and I’m glad we did. Despite being full, we were welcomed by a smiley staff and the service was just as great as it normally is on less busy days. Everyone is nice, friendly, attentive to customer’s needs. They checked in on us several times, asked how we were doing, if the food was good, if we needed anything and though we know that that’s how the service usually is at Kanzi, I was positively impressed that they were able to maintain the attentive friendly service in a busy evening. Props to Kanzi’s staff. All dishes we’ve tried so far were pretty good and every time we go, the atmosphere and the staff are great. We’ll keep coming...

It's soooo bad! Have no idea why this place has so many positive reviews. I ordered a salmon teriyaki bento box. Here is the breakdown: 1) miso soup was basically a muddy water with tons of salt to cover the mud taste and a few leaves inside. 2) Salad...well a piece of lettuce wasn't fresh (look at the picture) and wasn't even cut. 3) California roll tasted like mayo because they put crab salad, perhaps, was made in Japan since it tasted like it was delivered from there by a ship that lost at the sea for a few weeks I'd rather say it was California roll with crab flavored mayo. 4) It costs almost 24$, which is overpriced by $ 22$. And I'm from New York, so I never ever expected myself to think about other places outside the city as overpriced. 5) Salmon was okay. 6) Only 1 (one) good thing about that place is staff. That's why it is 1 (one) star. Otherwise, it should be negative 4

I like their food. The rolls are creative and fish is ok. However, the meal experience was off. The food was served very slow and same dish came out twice. The server asked us if we wanted the check when half of our orders were still not out yet. Then, they ran out of crawfish and “forgot” to tell us. Asked the serve what she was serving (name of the dish), she said she doesn’t know. Then, another server came with a list mid way through and wanted to check what else came out and what didn’t. No communications between staff and with customers. The whole dinner was a mess! I can say that this is probably the worst dining experience in all the Japanese restaurants that I have been to. *sad face* the funny part is there were only three tables and plenty of staff 🤔 must be running heavy on the takeout side
