Stop by this place for a fundraiser for my kids Spirit Night. Had never heard of this place, but he had and stated that he had been trying to get there for a while. Go figure because he never told me about it. Got there right before they close. I should have probably waited about 30 minutes before ordering my food. I ordered food probably right at about 9:00, but didn't get there until 9:50. Of course the food was not hot. I took the drive home for another 20 minutes. Did not even have the energy to warm the food up. While in the car after picking the food up I definitely had to give a try to the Diablo queso. It was not as I expected. After reading the description, I thought it would have other things that would be more visible or present, like the guacamole. Apparently everything was blended into a fine paste or cheese sauce. It was definitely spicy. You could feel the heat after the first chip. I ate about five before getting just enough in my stomach to make it home. The hatch burger was on point. My only issue was that it was not fresh. It still received a five by itself. The bun was fresh and soft. It was not chewy. It was brioche. The burger was cooked to my perfection which was medium well. The only downside was the crispy onion straws that of course we're not crispy anymore. There was a poblano on there that I guess after cooling down it became a little slimy. The taste was top-notch. Surprisingly, I found some leftover cajun fries at home from where apparently my wife and children took a visit to the place. The wings were supposed to be buffalo, but my daughter said they needed more sauce. I did end up having one the next day and understood what she was talking about. Could not taste a bit of buffalo on there whatsoever. There are some items that we wanted to try again, that included pretzel bites, maybe the fried chicken sandwich. But we'll make our way back. Service was great and the bartender called me just to make sure that I would make it before...
Read moreWe came to have dinner as a family of 8 not too long ago and our burgers and fries were definitely some of the best weâve had. The burgers themselves were on par, or better than the big name burger establishments- all (including the kids) were perfectly cooked, with fantastic flavor.
The 5 stars here is partly due to truly good food, but partly due to fantastic service. The Grind have both Sriracha and regular ketchup available, and the Sriracha happened to be on our table. My husband didnât realize, and put it on our daughters burger, immediately making it far too hot for her to eat. We asked one of the staff if we could maybe have a new top bun, intending to scrape off as much as possible from the meat and drown the rest in regular ketchup. He told us no problem and disappeared. A few short minutes later he was bringing out an ENTIRE meal- fresh burger and fries- despite the fact it was our fault the other burger was ruined. It was so kindly, quietly and quickly done. Later when we stopped the manager to share our thanks and compliments, he told us that it was exactly how he felt things should always be handled, but he was genuinely glad we were sharing how pleasantly surprised we were.
It attests to the fact the owner/managers empower all the employees to make decisions without having to ask, allowing each of them to take ownership in building what is going to be a great neighborhood business, which happens to also serve solidly...
Read moreTL;DR: Donât eat here. This place is overpriced and the food is bland. I wish Iâd read recent reviews before we came because the other reviewers were correct- I wouldâve enjoyed In N Out or McDonaldâs better than anything we had at this place.
The detailed version: My boyfriend and I came in at noon on a Sunday, not a soul in the place. We ordered chips and queso, two burgers, an order of onion rings, and two drinks.
Total was $49, so thatâs kind of expensive for two people, and if you compare that to their menu posted on Yelp from two years ago, their prices have doubled. My burger alone (no sides included) was $13.50.
The girl working the counter brings the chips and queso out. The queso on their online menu is advertised as having white queso, guac, tomatoes, sour cream, pulled pork, etc, we got plain white queso. Okay, no worries, except itâs lukewarm and already getting too thick to eat.
Almost immediately after, she brings out the onion strings we orderedâŠbut it took another ten minutes to get our burgers. The onion strings were the saddest Iâd thing ever seen. Hardly any breading at all. Once the burgers finally arrive, my boyfriendâs was overcooked and missing ingredients we had paid extra for. I had the âSunday Morning Hangoverâ with added avocado, which tasted like literally nothing. My boyfriendâs burger had black garlic aioli and tbh it looked like a Chum Bucket burger.
This was a total waste of money and hunger....
