I love this place, and visit frequently. The General Tso's Chicken and the Orange Chicken is off the chain, especially when you get it freshly made (as opposed to delivery). I am usually not a fan of Crab Rangoon, but these guys nail it. You can see the individual ingredients inside the wontons! I'm a huge sushi fan, and I'll be honest and say that Wok N Roll's sushi is not the greatest I've ever had - maybe a cut above grocery store sushi - but that doesn't matter to me, because the Chinese food is out of this world, and more than compensates for mediocre sushi. I promise you, you will never go to Panda Express again. 100% love this place!
Edit: I have now been coming here for ~2.5 years, and it is just as tasty now as it was the first time, maybe even more now. The chicken is still crispy, tender, and delicious! The crab/cheese wonton recipe is perfected! I have never been to a place that is this consistently delicious every time. The place seems a bit busier these days! My wife and I now live in North Richland Hills (North Fort Worth), and we still gladly drive a minimum of an hour round trip to come here. THIS IS THE BEST CHINESE FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD! And I've had a heck of a lot of Chinese...
Read moreJust ordered this tonight. TWO orders of chicken Lo Mein, ONE order of sweet n sour, and ONE order of kids nuggets. Asian lady repeated my order as I went. It was delivered way before it was estimated. BUT, I pulled out my order from the bag and one ONE lo mein. Ok no sweat, I'll call. So I did. Talked to a young woman who apologized. She asked the manager (Asian lady that took my original order) and said I told her one order. Negative ghost rider. I told u two. She repeated if back. So I place the second order. She tells me it's $8.xx. I told her no, it was your fault, your paying for it right? She asked manager again. The manager said nope, ur mistake, u pay for it. I told them how I felt and hung up. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! If you are wrong, you take care of your customers first. First rule of business... Guess they don't get that. Good food otherwise... Be aware future customers. MAKE SURE YOU REPEAT YOURSELF MULTIPLE TIMES if your speaking to...
Read moreFirst off, once you enter East Ocean you immediately smell this foul sulfuric smell. Customer service was good, though. She was nice and patient with us. We then ordered sesame chicken to go, and it looked and smelled like it was going to be good or at least decent. However, that sadly wasn't the case. When tearing apart the chicken it looked very strange...nothing like chicken. The flavor had an odd taste to it, and the texture was fatty with gristle. We honestly questioned what we were eating and threw the rest away.
The outside and inside of the restaurant are not well kept, either. Also, I love sushi, but I would never trust their sushi. It's actually scary to think about. In all honesty, that place should be inspected. I never usually do reviews unless it's a great place or a horrible place, especially hazard-like similar to East Ocean.
I would never recommend this place to anyone...
