We arrived shortly before 7 to order food for 2 families for a football game. When we walked up to the counter we weren’t even acknowledged by the worker behind the counter. She eventually moved to the register and asked what we wanted but still never made eye contact. We ordered a 20 piece family box. Extra sides and extra tea. Our total was almost $70. The worker then disappeared over into the drive thru area with the other employees. We were then told after we had paid that there would be a 20 minute wait for chicken by the same employee. We said ok and went and sat in the restaurant. We started to notice others waiting for food also. The drive thru was pulled up waiting for food, and several others were in the restaurant waiting for food. One person said they had an online order placed hours before to be ready by 630 and she waited over an hour to get her food. We went to the counter after waiting 25 mins and inquired about how much longer. The staff told us 3 mins. A family chicken box was then given to someone who had ordered after us and the person who ordered before us still hadn’t received their food either. We continued to sit there and watch the staff repeatedly be on their cell phones texting, one which was holding tongs bare handed with her phone in the same hand. At this point it was now 7:40 and we had been waiting nearly an hour for our food with no acknowledgment from staff at all. Someone with me was taking a video of herself and I and a staff member accused her of recording her without her consent. We told her we were recording ourselves and we would even show her the video to prove it. She then started to yell to us that she was a minor and was going to sue us. I then told her I wanted to speak to her manager and get a refund immediately. She yelled for her manager Iesha in a jokingly way like she knew she wasn’t going to do anything about it. The manager then came to the front and asked what the problem is. We explained the issue and she just said she would rather just issue a refund than get into any of the video tape issue. We never received so much as an apology from any of the staff for our with/ inconvenience or the staff’s behavior. This is completely unacceptable and highly inappropriate. We were trying to be patient but from the moment we walked in we received nothing but attitude from the staff. And it wasn’t just us. The other customers waiting had similar experiences. We also saw a dead roach on the floor next to the kitchen door. And a live one in the bathroom. The trash cans had also been pulled in the dining room like they were trying to close down early. I don’t understand how a place that sales chicken doesn’t have food ready at 7pm on a Saturday night especially during football season which is what y’all advertise for. I am so disappointed in my visit, I don’t know if I’ll ever return. I am discussed at the way we were treated and at how the staff will continue to get away with this behavior with no reprimanding. I know it is hard to find employees to work these days but this is not how you need your business to be represented. We did absolutely nothing wrong and on top of that waited almost an hour at a fast food restaurant. You better believe that I will be sharing this story with everyone I know and making sure they know how awful the staff at this bojangles treated us. I will say we called another bojangles after getting our refund to see if they had chicken. Although they were very polite and helpful, they told us they only had 12 pieces of chicken at the moment and that it would be 40-60 mins for chicken because they had already broken down and cleaned the chicken station since the usually sale supremes at that time of day which was 8pm on a sat. That I was disappointed in and don’t understand. However we told them thank you for their help but we would be leaving as that was not enough to feed our families. Read moreone of the worst service experiences i’ve ever had at any fast food place. like so shockingly absurd it’s actually laughable. they refused to bring my food out for curbside pickup after i sat in the curbside spot for a half an hour and tried calling at least 6 times with no answer. only until i parked on the actual curb in front of the drive-thru did they magically answer the phone saying my food was ready. when the manager, Jaysen, brought it out he tried informing me the curbside spots were across the driveway so i informed him i’d been sitting over there for the past half hour and his excuse was that they couldn’t see me 🤣which i don’t believe since the drive-thru window (circled) was right in front of the curbside spots (boxed) and i could see people in the window through my car mirrors but also did they not see i notified them on the app around 12:30pm when i arrived, then i tried re-notifying 10 and 15 min later just in case they missed it, AND how did they not hear the phone ringing for as long as it did? AND if they can’t see the curbside spots from the drive-thru window, there’s a whole wall of windows at the front of the building they could’ve looked out of. it’s not my or any other customers’ fault that y’all put your curbside spots in places you seemingly cannot see, but the issue wasn’t my white kia optima’s visibility in clearly visible parking spots, it’s the fact that this location (honestly like the rest of the locations around lexington and columbia) couldn’t care less about serving food. all i got was a lame apology and cold food at 1:03pm. so disappointed and sad.
i understand fast food is not the best to work in but, as a customer, i did everything i was supposed to, gave employees grace when it honestly wasn’t deserved, and i didn’t even get mad when i had every right to. if y’all don’t care to do your jobs for even people who have simple and easy requests, PLEASE for everyone’s sake, find a new profession. this, by far, isn’t the only negative experience i’ve had at this location it was just the worst and the last straw (i say ironically because they are notorious for forgetting straws which they also did with this order💀). i hate to leave such a negative review for a place i love going to and a product i love but the employees (or maybe just management) need some serious improvement and changes. no one should ever have to go through this much trouble for simply ordering a basic biscuit combo meal (no customization)...
Read moreThis location does not rate well because they lack in customer service. The last two times I've ordered the tailgate special, I have had to wait over 30 minutes for it. When I order the tailgate they will ask you to wait and call out for cook to drop chicken in the frier when you order it. Then you wait over 30 mins because they cook white and dark meat separately and then after it cooks they pack your order with chicken that has already been sitting in the bins (first) while you waited for your order to be cooked and drop the fresh chicken in their holding bins. All the while, 2 and 3 piece dinners are steadily handed out the drive thru window the entire 35 to 40 mins I've waited. When you try to ask for the fresh chicken you just waited on they tell you (with an attitude) it is the fresh chicken. My sides were also incorrect. When I asked them to provide the correct sides they say that's not what I ordered, nobody bothered to look at my receipt when I tried showing them what sides I ordered to confirm. The workers aren't friendly or apologetic in any way. I would NOT recommend this location at all. I will drive 20 mins to another location out of my way, before visiting this location again.
