Waffle House — Restaurant in South Carolina

I was not happy with the whole experience on 12/28. My son just got out the hospital and wanted to call In breakfast and just swing by to pick it up and head straight home. Well when you call it now it says they are limiting their Togo orders to focus on their dine in customers. So once I got there I had to go in to place the order. I order my food and they said it would be 10 minutes. I got an all star breakfast and a cheesesteak bowl. After tax should have been $22-$23. Well total was almost $26. I didn’t think anything of it just wanted to get back to my son in the car. Went back in and I was missing my waffle. I told the waitress I was missing it and she says oh I charged you for an 2 egg breakfast not an all star. I said ma’am well the total isn’t adding up. She replied back we charge 20% on all Togo orders now. I said ma’am even with that charge it still doesn’t add up. She looked at her book and said oh I charged you right I’ll get you your waffle. So I had to wait an additional 2-3 minutes. I just think it’s crazy that you now charge an additional 20% on the bill for Togo orders but you can’t answer the phone to take my order. If you want to focus on your dine in guest maybe consider getting a Togo person. Also that’s something you should list on your door or let someone know that you charge that amount for choosing to order with you and take it home. If I wanted an additional 20% on my order I would just sit in the restaurant and let someone...

Christmas Day! This place was awesome! Every employee was happy, cheerful, the place was packed! Kinda noisy, but a good noise. Happy, cheerful gave me a wonderful welcome feeling, and I know nobody in the place! To have a place full of people, who I’m sure, would prefer to be at home on Christmas, be so absolutely awesome gives me a new brighter outlook on the world out there. Yes, I know these places here and there have some negative stigma unfortunately attached to them, you just had to be there to feel it, to actually experience it!

I had just spent the day with my grandchildren opening gifts and playing Christmas games. Had the best Christmas ever with my kids and grandkids! I stopped in here because it was on my way home. My husband doesn’t do Christmas, and I was picking him up some dinner.

I just wanted to say thank you! To everyone working at this Waffle House on Christmas Day! Excellent crew! Made my experience here incredible! I left with my to go order in my hand and smiled a little bigger, the sun shined a little brighter, and I felt a little warmer.

One thing I can say about Waffle House is that the food is consistently good. However, I’ve gotten a particular server here twice which makes me want to avoid this location in the future. Both times I’ve had Angel as a server, the restaurant was not very busy. It took at least 10 minutes to be greeted and given silverware. After ordering, you usually hear the server call out the order as soon as possible to the cook. This did not happen for another 10 minutes or so. We received our food before we received our drinks. I had to keep asking for items, she had to ask me what I ordered several times even though she wrote it down and we went over it together. I’m not trying to be mean but serving is definitely not her thing. No personality, she sort of whisper talks.
