Two stars means that you came in under my expectations. I frequent this cookout location. It usually barely meets my expectation (which is low, and therefore not difficult to meet). However, I've been increasingly frustrated recently and yesterday I finally decided to review. First I'd like to Express my frustration that we are still not able to go inside to order, making the drive thru a 15 to 20 minute ordeal EVERY TIME. Either let us inside or figure out a solution. Alass, I continue to go back although recently I just skip it and go somewhere else. Last night I ordered a chicken sandwich with no tomato. A simple order. As you can see I got tomato. Also as you can see it's quite possibly the smallest piece of the bottom of the barrel lettuce I've ever seen. How does one make it in life if they can't even manage to put together a decent sandwich correctly. This isn't the first time my simple order wasn't fulfilled correctly. If getting a meal is going to take 20 minutes then be wrong, I'll just go to a restaurant where I can sit down and be waited on in an establishment that will get my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTruly one of the most amazing culinary discoveries of my life! The food is SO bad, you can't even be mad. The whole setup is so disarmingly honest and unpretentious, it leaves you with great laughter.
We ordered a chicken burger, a double cheese burger, fries and cole slaw. Well, here it is less about what you get than what you DONT get. Just a bun, a piece of meat, that's it. No Ketchup. They didn't even ask. Fries come without a sauce, the slaw without cuttlery, the whole bag without napkins. I admit that we didn't ask for any extra specials because we were foolish enough to assume these things are implied.
This is the kind of customer service that puts a smile on my face, because it proves that some people truly dont give a hoot, and that is really refreshing and charming. Must be one of the worst dining options in Virginia, I totally recommend the...

Stopped in for the first time in a Cookout and it will be my last.
My wife has Celiac and has to eat gluten free food. (No wheat essentially.) This isnāt usually a problem and more and more places mark gluten free choices. Worst case my wife orders a burger no bun.
The online menu had āgluten freeā greyed out on the mobile site so we thought weād go in and ask.
We asked the cashier (blonde name starts with k but wonāt list it here) if the barbecue was gluten free without a bun. She looked confused and said sheād ask. She came back and said āwe have no way to know thatā.
I could only chuckle at that level of cluelessness in a restaurant worker. I worked in the industry for 10+ years and I would have not been happy if I was...
