Grimes's Fast Food (Formerly Richie's) — Restaurant in Lexington

Had to try this chain since they switched it up from Richie’s. The chicken was good, but the coating is a little different, less crumbly crispy crunch and more flakey crispy crunchy if I remember correctly. The flavor was on point though. Same as I remember. The spicy was delicious as was the regular. I got 18 party wins which were teeny tiny and $18 for the meal with a tiny roll and a teeny tiny cup of yams and three potato wedges. Yams were delicious though, more mash than individual slices but good nonetheless! I will say the wings are much smaller than your standard wing, mayb 25% smaller, of course it depends on your supplier. I wouldn’t normally pay $21 for the meal for one that I just got especially at a to-go spot.

Customer service here was a little lacking. The front cashier lady seemed careless and inattentive. It seems like they were getting a lot of business at the time so I do understand how that is when you relax a bit and a customer comes in right before you get a chance to take a breath.

I don't even know where to start! I've been eating here for a while now and tonight did it for me! I had a conversation with the manager of the restaurant about my order but things went south very fast. All I'll sat is this young man was very disrespectful, he didn't even try to understand where I was coming from! He needs to go to a few customer service classes to get a true understanding of how to treat a customer! He continued to over talk me tell me he's a man like iam,tell me what I can't say lol wow! A business isn't a business without the customers, I don't care if you think it's ok or not! I will not be going back and I will definitely not recommend it to my family or friends. Honestly all he had to do was offer to give me another onion ring,I would have been happy. The conversation went south because he didn't know how to handle what I was saying. I just called the store to notify them that I had ordered some potato wedges and they were soggy not fresh and that it was like the 3rd time i had came and they were like that when they usually aren’t. Can you tell me why this man told me that it was MY job to make sure THEIR food was to standard? AND that I just need to check my food from now on to make sure their food ain’t nasty! Being a food service professional for over 10 years I am completely baffled at how rude he was when I was calling to give a polite critique, not to get my money back nor ask to get it corrected. I just wanted my food right from here on out because I come at least once a week. But after today I will NEVER come back. The food has been disgusting lately...
