Well, there are a lot of great reviews about this restaurant, but my experience with this place earned them a 1 star review. I had placed an online order at 1:23PM on the way there. In my order, I ordered 1 Funkfetti, 1 Glazed cake, 3 Regular glazed, 1 Cinnamon sugar, 1 hot vanilla latte and 1 Caramel Macchiato. In my purchase of the online order, I included the details of my car color and type. I had noticed that when I first arrived at the donut place, the there were no cars there, but were many while I was waiting that came and went. There were about 14 people between curbside order pickups and orders delivered to vehicles that were received before my order. It was 1:40PM and I wanted to just give them 15 more minutes to let them give me my order, I though that was very generous. I was still mad that I had not yet received my order, while everyone else was so cheery and delighted as they received their orders before me. Everyone that received an order before me had got there after me, let that sink in. I had tried twice to get their attention while they were heading back inside to let them know my situation. I felt like they didn't know I had placed an order. I finally went up to the order station to tell them my situation, since they didn't acknowledge me when I was sitting in my car. I had my card in hand to get a refund, as I paid already. I told the girl that I've been waiting for over a half an hour to receive my order. She simply just told me that I had needed to text them that I had arrived! I was the only car there at first, they knew my vehicle type. It was like she was implying it was all my fault that I had too wait so long to get my order. Even if it was, I could have at least got an extra donut for free, for my inconveniences. She went back in to get my donuts, came out and gave them to me, and said the coffees were just now being made I didn't believe this because when I got the coffees the Iced one was almost warm! The hot one was about room a bit above room temperature! As if it was microwaved to imitate being freshly made because it sat out for about 20 minutes I'd say. Also, two of the donut types I got had the displays of those types pulled away, as if they were out 9f those two types of donuts, which were Cinnamon sugar and Regular Glazed. But I got them anyway. Probably because they were already reserved for me and they sold out of the rest and couldn't give those away because I already ordered and paid for them. I also believe it to be a pitiful excuse to say that I should have texted them to receive my order. I was there for that long, they could have came up to my vehicle to figure out what my issue was. I won't be back until they fix the issue I had. Their excuses were not appropriate. I had to write this review over again, just letting you know, because it was erased when I accidentally clicked go back instead of the backspace button on my cellphone. Please be more courteous to customers, North Lime...
Read moreThe reason I am giving 3 stars is for a hygene issue I witnessed. The person assigned to donuts has gloved hands and this customer came up with what looked like her own tumbler mug from home and placed it in the workers gloved hands who was on donut station and complained about the coffee she didnt like it (employee handled well) HOWEVER I watched this employee walk around holding the customers cup and then eventually sets it down on the counter and goes back to filling donut orders WITHOUT changing her gloves. This is disgusting, no one knows what was on the cup or how clean the cup or customers hands were and she just went and served FOOD to others. Cmon we just got out of a pandemic and its flu season you should know better when working in food service. When I ordered she must've seen me watching her the entire time because before i could request for her to change her gloves for my donut order she looked at me and changed them and then grrabbed my food. The donuts are good they are firm and crunchy but i personally like that texture sometimes! I also think they have good coffee, I always get iced lattes, and they are so good not bitter or burnt tasting and the perfect balance between sweetened and coffee flavor. However, my husband always gets hot lattes and he asked me to get him an extra shot of espresso in his regular size (16oz) latte, so I did and they called it a double so that makes us wonder are they just adding more milk to the 16oz because they have to be putting only one shot in their smaller size too? Which if that is what they're doing that is...
Read moreI have had their donuts many times before, but this was the first time I have been there in person. I know nothing about coffee and rarely drink it, but was in the mood to try theirs today. The two girls working were very friendly and helpful and explained the difference between the types of coffee they had available today. I ordered one of the hot coffees. The previous customer (who had already left) ordered a cold brew iced coffee and the girls realized that they accidentally made an extra one so instead of throwing it away they let me try it. I got to experience a hot coffee and a cold brew iced coffee back to back which was a nice learning experience for a coffee novice, and both were very good. The hot coffee (I forget which bean it was) had mild fruity flavor notes and natural sweetness. The iced one had a pleasant nutmeg-like flavor to it.
I had a plain glazed donut which was also very good. It is a very dense donut (the donut equivalent of al dente pasta), and the browned outer edge adds a nice depth to the flavor and pairs well with coffee. There's just enough glaze to add sweetness without being...
