Wingstop — Restaurant in Lexington

Let me start by saying that I am livid beyond furious, and completely DONE with ur Wingstop location on Richmond Road in Lexington. Frankly, I don’t even have words for the sheer level of incompetence, disrespect, and utter disregard for ur customers that I’ve witnessed from your staff and management. I’ve been more than patient, more than understanding, but after being lied to twice now, I am absolutely DONE.

Here’s the situation: on February 11th, I looked up ur hours online, as any reasonable person would do, and drove all the way to ur location expecting to enjoy some wings. like I’ve done countless times before. But guess what? I show up, and the place is locked up tighter than Fort Knox. No 1 there. No sign of any employees. Nothing. Absolutely NOTHING. I stood there in utter shock. How is ts this even possible? You’ve got a sign saying ur open, ur website says ur open, but, the doors are locked? I thought maybe it was some kind of fluke, maybe a temporary glitch, right? This was no accident. This was an outright lie.

So, thinking it was just a one time screw up, I gave u another chance. I drove all the way there AGAIN on March 5th, checking the hours online once more still said u were open. Still said everything was fine. I thought to myself, “Okay, they can’t mess up again. Surely they’ve fixed the issue.” I was wrong.

I get there, and surprise! the doors are locked again. EMPTY. No sign of life. No apologies. No nothing. Just a big fat waste of my time and gas. Are you kidding me? I stood there, staring at the locked door, trying to process the insanity of it all. Not once, but twice now, I’ve been completely misled by ur business. Twice now, I’ve been left standing in front of your locked doors, waiting for an explanation that never came. I drove there thinking I was about to have my lunch, only to have my hopes dashed because u guys clearly can’t manage something as basic as keeping your hours straight.

And let me tell you, I was furious I wasn’t just disappointed, I wasn’t just annoyed I was absolutely enraged. I’ve been loyal to u. I’ve spent my hard earned money at your establishment. And this is how you repay me? By lying to me. By wasting my time. By keeping your doors locked and leaving me standing there like an idiot. Ts pmo sm r u fr rn?

And then just when I thought things couldn’t get worse they did. I was standing there, in disbelief, trying to get someone’s attention, hoping for at least a little bit of courtesy or a reasonable explanation. But nope. Nothing. Instead of an apology, instead of any kind of customer service, ur chopped kroger employee nextdoor came to the door and started dragging me out like I was some kind of criminal. like bruh, I was so furious I started crying not because I’m some overdramatic mess??? but because the sheer audacity of the way I was treated broke me. I had every right to be upset. I was trying to get answers, trying to figure out what had gone wrong and all I got was rudeness, disrespect, and humiliation

u made me look like a fool twice now, and I’ve had enough. Not only did you mislead me, not only did u waste my time, but you treated me like garbage when I just tried to get some basic service. I shouldn’t have had to beg to get the truth. And I def shouldn’t have had to be dragged out of your restaurant like I was some kind of criminal for daring to question your incompetence. How dare u?How dare you treat ur customers like that? lol

I am so done with your business. I’ve given you chance after chance, and this is what I get in return? u lost a loyal customer, and I’m going to make sure everyone knows just how u treated me. I’m going to tell every single person I know to stay as far away from ur store as possible. I’m going to make sure ur reputation in Lexington gets the ruin it deserves. This is going to be a long one. It takes alot for me to take the time to write a review, the experience has to either be out of this world amazing or absolutely beyond terrible and for this review it's the latter. Upon walking in I noticed the health inspection at a 77!!! In the RED and against my better judgment I decided to go ahead and order anyway (I'll never do that again and a 77 health code score is extremely concerning) As soon as I walked in I noticed how overly staffed they were which isnt necessarily a bad thing, i know with it being newer its been crazy busy (I counted 16 in the kitchen and 3 running the front register area) but there were so many people in the kitchen they had to turn side ways to by-pass eachother. I ordered 6 tenders, Cajun corn and regular fries EXTRA CRISPY. The corn was over cooked and had zero seasoning and my "extra crispy" fries were completely soggy, oil soaked, and COLD!! And that's coming immediately after they handed me the bag I stood at the counter and ate one, they were seriously awful. I should have asked for fresh fries (although with 16 people in the kitchen I'm not sure how any of the food could have been cold) but I had my toddler and was in a rush to get home. Now let me explain what I witnessed in the kitchen while I waited for my food. One of the fry cooks adjusting his hat with his gloves on and not changing them, another guy was texting with gloves on and didn't change them, a young girl who looked maybe 14 and was 1 of 3 girls in the kitchen in regular clothes not a uniform was leaned over on the counter with her exposed elbow on the cutting board and her hair messy in a claw clip, then another of the ladies who was in regular clothes went to the restroom and took her gloves off and put them in her pocket, I can only pray she tossed them and got new gloves after going to the bathroom. It was just gross honestly and extremely unappetizing. I will say the 2 guys running the registers were very friendly and nice so that was appreciated but everything else was a hard no. I've been waiting with anticipation for so so long for Lexington to get a Wingstop, as so many others have and for this to be my experience is just beyond disappointing. This was my second visit and my first visit was subpar at best with again, cold fries, carbonated water instead of sprite (which i didnt realize until i got home) and no lids even though they were selling drinks but I decided to show some grace given they had just opened this location less than a month from my first visit. Needless to say I won't be returning to this location for a very long time if ever and definitely won't be recommending to anyone either. I just hope the location opening in Tates Creek Center gives us the experience we want...

NEWEST AND LAST EDIT: Wingstop oh how i love you. I showed up to your place and waited for over an hour to get my delicious wings. Now some of you might be thinking i’m insane for waiting an hour but when it’s for something you love you don’t care how long it takes. I got home and devoured 10 wings and some fries. I take back all the hateful comments and threats. If you would wingstop, i’d like to take you back as my one and only true love. Times were tough between us but I see and recognize my mistakes. I love you.

You better open this store. I have called almost every day for this food. I’m starving. All I want is a day where i can eat in peace with some wingstop wings in my hands. Get to work and open.

Edit: So y'all aren't funny. Lying to me and saying you're open is fake. I pulled up to the function to get some wings and guess what I stumble upon? AN UNFINISHED WINGSTOP. You lost a star for that. I warned you once I'm not afraid to pull up again. Next time I'm there, it better be open or else. You DON'T want to see me angry. I'll show you mercy for now. Watch your back Wingstop.

SECOND EDIT: Okay double fake because it said on here yall were opening on the 11th. I was planning on watching attack on titan at the movies and get some wingstop but no. You are fake. You ruined all my plans. I was excited for this and then you pull that move. ANOTHER POINT DEDUCTION. We will have a serious talk about this.

THIRD EDIT: This is absurd. March 5th was going to be a moment in history but it once again was ruined. So guess what that means? ANOTHER POINT DEDUCTION. I am fed up with this attitude wingstop. Your defiance is disrespectful and down right disgusting. I recommend you get your act together before I loose my cool.
