Game X Change — Local services in Lexington

I actually love this place I haven’t been in a bit but the one thing you want to do is call ahead if you are looking for something specific at the time of typing this there is new employees in the store i only mention this because so much good stuff gets sold to them and they hold it for employees so that feeling that there’s the same stuff there after months of going well that’s the reason but other then that I got a ton of stuff from them that works perfectly only downside is selling rare and high value items to them I saw a def jam fight for New York in the display case at the register for 160$ I already have one thankfully that I purchased from another store for 137$ now the difference between the two is mine is a complete game it has the case and manual as well as a working disc now go back to where I said they get first dibs well that game they have is only the disc and it’s the second copy I’ve seen the first was for the OG Xbox and it didn’t work they were selling that for 80$ so my guess is that disc doesn’t work and when you take it back don’t expect a refund so make sure to have all and any game tested if they say they can’t ask if you could come back with a console to test it on trust me it’ll be worth it to save yourself as well as someone else from buying...

I was a one time GXC regular and felt very passionately about the store for a long time. Unfortunately, from 2021-2023 the quality of the products and service plummeted, the negative energy from staff was palpable, and the general disorganization made it unshoppable. Therefore, I altogether stopped coming in over a year ago.

HOWEVER today I returned after looking to sell some odds and ends and decided to give GXC another shot, and let me tell you, it’s a world of difference there now. It seems like the newest manager in charge, Daniel, has really put a lot of love and hard work into the place, and it truly shows. I was blown away by his patience and grace in dealing with a busy store, and the care he showed to each and every customer he spoke to. Genuinely a series of some of the best customer service interactions I have ever been witness to, and as corny as it sounds, it honest to god warmed my heart to see. The store is cleaner and more organized than it’s ever been, and the selection has greatly improved from my last several visits a year prior.

It seems Daniel deserves a lot of credit for turning that store around, and it’s certainly made me want to become a return...

HUGE variety of all the fun stuff. A decent selection of gaming consoles, controllers & accessories, games for all consoles, smartwatches, and headphones.

Besides the electronics, there's a literal wall of funko pops, a great selection of other figurines, and cool character/model building sets.

Comic books, graphic novels, more single Pokémon TCG cards than I could go through, and boxed sets of MTG & other card games.

DVDs and Blu-Rays galore, plus they're currently BOGO free! I love the variety of tshirts, memorabilia, and decor, plus fun Japanese drinks & candy - like ramune sodas.

Definitely decent & competitive offers from them, if you're selling to them. I've go to go back with some Star Wars collectables and boxes of Legos that are just gathering dust.

Very chill, friendly, welcoming atmosphere, especially coming from the store manager and assistant manager.
