We've been going to Taco Tuesdays ($1 tacos) for months consistently and have built a rapport with the staff and the manager Christian. We've always been treated well, and when there is an error they've always gone out of their way to fix it. Tonight was a different story. We ordered Grilled Chicken Tacos (which we've ordered in the past for $1/taco, as the taco Tuesday special suggests) but tonight they were $3.25 each, and I was not notified beforehand. I placed my card down at the end of the meal before seeing the check (I trust this staff that I thought I knew I wouldn't be scammed) and the server processed the order and gave me the copy to sign for a tip.

Once I saw that we were charged 3x the price that we expected, I told the new manager Jeremiah that we were never told the grilled chicken tacos and the shredded chicken tacos were different prices. In the past they have been the same price. Jeremiah proceeded to tell us he cannot fix it and that we know now. I told him how that feels a bit like a scam, to say tacos are a dollar each then charge me $3.25 per taco, and then he said he would take a dollar off each taco for us. He left and came back with the same receipt and told us he could not fix the price, due to food costs. We've had problems in the past where the check needed to be altered due to an error or miscommunication on the staff's side, and it was fixed, so the manager lied to our face.

We went to Cinco De Mayo Monday, May 12, 2025 for the first time ever. I was looking for tamales and they have them. When we walked in the guy there assumed we were dining in. When I said to go his attitude changed immediately. He seemed very agitated and didn’t really want to serve us. His demeanor was very cold. I almost changed my mind but I really wanted those tamales. After he took our order he said he would be back with the food, and after about 20-25 min he came back with our order and say it on a table. When we got home I opened up my order and I knew something was wrong. The tamales were steak when I ordered beef and they were old and cold. The rice and beans were not appealing at all. My husband ordered street tacos and I ate one of his, which was good, but that’s not what I wanted. My husband told me later that the tacos affected his stomach something awful. I wanted to go back and try the entire menu but I have changed my mind. I told my husband I believe the manager (or whoever he is) got angry because we decided to do take out AND because we are black patrons. Went here for my aunts birthday yesterday. Table of 8. We mentioned to the staff it was her birthday but they couldn’t tell us if they did anything special like sing happy birthday, etc how it’s done at Mi Mexico. They did have Taco Tuesday specials $1 for your choose of chicken, beef, bean taco w/ only cheese and lettuce. That’s a really great deal but most ended up ordering off the menu. Their other special is 2 Margaritas for $14. The Margaritas were great.

Also, because this location shares a wall with Lil Caesars when you walk in you initially only smell Lil Caesars pizza haha.

My kids for 2 kids meals. I got the 3 street tacos for $13 that came with rice and beans. The tacos were good but their portion size were very very small compared to what I’m use to with street tacos.

So with 2 kids meals, the $14 Margaritas, my street taco meal, plus added on automatic gratuity on the bill…. I paid $65.

Will I go back again probably not. Overall nothing was bad but I’m use to getting more for my buck elsewhere so this is my preference but can see why others may...
