Culver’s — Restaurant in Leyden Township

The Elmwood Park Culver's has a bunch of incompetent people working there! Went inside to order 2 orders of two scoops of chocolate and vanilla ice cream in a cup on a Saturday night an hour before closing and it ended up taking over 20 minutes to get my ice cream! Took the staff way too long to even put in my order. They kept giving priority to the drive thru customers and customers who walked in and put in their order AFTER my order. The cashier didn't seem like she knew what she was doing and when I confronted her about the ridiculously long wait for ICE CREAM of all orders, she proceeded to give the excuse that "we are really busy" which is a really weak excuse since they managed to put in and deliver some orders that came in after my order. When I finally got one of the staff to start making my ice cream, he had to redo the order 3 times because apparently the incompetent cashier doesn't know the difference between chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup. The guy kept putting chocolate syrup on top of the vanilla ice cream when I specifically order 2 scoops of Chocolate AND Vanilla Ice cream. I said nothing about chocolate syrup.

Forget this place on a Saturday night. They obviously do not have the staff here for the amount of orders. Most customers, like myself, ordered through the drivethru. I could go into a long story here but I will give highlights. After seeing Culver's staff bringing orders to cars that came well after us, we asked more than one of them to check on our simple order. All of them looked at us blankly, then went back inside. Not one asked to see our number, or asked our name. Finally, after complaining to an actual manager who came out, she sort of, took care of us. Unfortunately, we ordered 4 items, and she brought only one. When she finally came out with the other 3, she gave us a coupon for one free meal. After looking at our two shakes, it was obvious they were made over 20 minutes previously. So they must have been sitting there while everyone ignored them. No one thought to investigate why these shakes were sitting untouched for so long. The level of ignoring customers is alarming. I ordered a meal with a concrete mix. The concrete mix was not included although I paid for it.

I tried contacting the delivery person but there was no reply.

I then called DoorDash and will get credit for that drink.

I decided that the problem was with the packaging because the bag the food came in was sealed. It was not tempered with in any way.

I decided to call your restaurant in Elmwood Park and speak with a manager.

She was most unhelpful and just wanted to move on and not address anything; saying something like you'll need to contact DoorDash.

I told her this was not a delivery problem but an error with the fulfillment of packaging things correctly. I should not be required to do anything, actually. This should have never been a concern from the start, if Culver's staff performed their duties properly.

She was rather abrupt and didn't show any concern for my problem. Not even a sorry for the problem. This prompted me to write to Culver's.
