Pompei is truly one of the best new additions to the community. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the quality of the building itself. Everything feels brand new, thoughtfully designed, and built with comfort in mind. It is a place where you immediately feel welcome and relaxed
On this visit, I ordered the meatball sandwich, and it exceeded every expectation. The meatballs were large, perfectly seasoned, and smothered in just the right amount of marinara sauce. The bread they use deserves special mention because it held up beautifully and added the perfect texture to the sandwich. Hearty, flavorful, and filling, this was the definition of comfort food done right
We also ordered the cheese pizza, and I can say without hesitation that it is the best in the entire community. The cheese was clearly high quality, rich, and flavorful, while the crust was simply amazing. Light, crisp, and perfectly baked, it is rare to find a pizza that gets both the toppings and the crust just right, but Pompei achieved it
For dessert, we tried the Taylor Street cheesecake, which was absolutely phenomenal. Creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced, it was the kind of dessert that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate it. A perfect ending to an already stellar meal
Beyond the food, what really stood out to me was the service and atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and professional. They are clearly well staffed, which makes the experience smooth and enjoyable. Combine that with the warm, high quality environment, and it is clear Pompei is raising the standard for dining in this area
One of the most surprising parts of the visit was how reasonably priced everything was. The food quality is top tier, yet the prices are very affordable, which makes this not just a great place for special occasions but also a regular go to spot. Once word spreads in the community, I can see Pompei quickly becoming the staple destination for everyone
Overall, Pompei delivers on every level. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, the service is outstanding, and the setting is beautiful, all at an affordable price point. If I could rate it higher than five stars, I absolutely would. On my next visit, I look forward to trying some of the other amazing dishes I saw being served
This is without a doubt the new go to restaurant in town and one I will...
Read moreFood was good. Would not recommend eating here. The place was packed and a little overwhelming. When we were served our food my pizza fell on the table and the server almost left that piece for me to eat. We had to ask to have it replaced. We went there with some family after a celebration and had to sit at separate tables because it was so busy. After we were done with our meals we were just enjoying time with family and we were asked by the owner to give up one of our tables. We did finish eating but were not ready to leave. I felt it was rude to have asked. How did they know we were done eating? A person in our party was eating a dessert when the other half of our party was asked to leave. There was 2 open tables next to us so not sure why we were...
Read moreSad to say this was the worst dining experience of my life. It is definitely not the pompei I remember growing up. Waited about an hour in line to even place an order. Saw two servers deliver food to the wrong tables. Staff was arguing with each other in front of customers. Got served cold bread and had to ask for napkins and forks when our food came. Arancini was soft and cold. 3 of the cheese raviolis had nothing in them. Only saving grace was the food was hot. Probably just working out the kinks for opening weekend, but still was very...
