Snack & Shrack Restaurant — Restaurant in Leyden Township

Ordered 03/23 and placed an order online like I was told. I usually ask for the toppings on the side and included this in my special notes only to come home and see that they put everything in the bowl instead of in the side. I don’t have time to go back and now I won’t be eating my bowl. Very disappointed with this experience as I usually have a very good experience here.

Update: 1/23/2023 We dined in today and were pleasantly surprised when we saw they added pita bread with our order! They also brought out a dish for us to try on the house and provided wonderful customer service.

My fiancé and I ordered their chicken shawarma bowl and their beef shawarma bowl tonight as a takeout order and I would definitely recommend them! The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful and included a complimentary lentil soup. If I could give one word of advice it would be to add either a wrap or bread to their shawarma bowls as I know many restaurants like snack & shack include bread or a wrap in their shawarma plate and add just a hint more seasoning on the meats. I went here with my sister on a random Sunday for some Mediterranean food. We passed it by a million times but never knew it existed in this small strip mall! The person working the front is one awesome guy. I’m not sure if he’s the owner (he gives me owner vibes) but he was so personable, attentive, hospitable, and welcoming. Such a gracious host!

The food was phenomenal, period. The hummus was so creamy and seasoned nicely, the chicken was flavorful and juicy, the lentil soup was delicious, the salad was refreshing, and the falafel was crispy on the inside and so soft on the inside. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. We took what we couldn’t finish home but rest assured we devoured everything lol.

There’s convenient parking right outside and even though it’s a relatively small place, there’s tables inside for you to dine in if you’d like.

I had an amazing experience at Snack & Shrak! The staff provided a warm,friendly, and patient welcoming! Because it was my first time ordering at this restaurant, it took me a while to decide. However, the staff was extremely kind, which provided a flavorful and delicious Lentil soup while I waited for my takeout order. Kaftan Kabab grilled entrees platter, hummus,and Baklava was so delicious! It's rare to find genuine excellent food and service these days,that I am so pleased to finally find a place that treats their customers with the upmost excellent service and with delicious quality food!!
