Taste of the middle east — Restaurant in Leyden Township

First off when I walked in I noticed that they were cleaning the grill during the time frame that they were supposed to be operating the grill and cooking food. Now what I mean by cleaning the grill is that they had cleaning chemicals out around buy all the food and spraying it with a little bit overcast hitting the food. I asked for a chicken pita to be made and to please make the food away from the chemicals that they had out. One of the employees came walking from the back with two buckets of soap filled water and passed the two buckets over my food while it was cooking on the grill. I looked at the guy that was cooking my food and politely said please be careful with what you're cooking for me and instead of answering me back in English with an apology they replied back in Arabic, so I have no idea what he said. This was my first and definitely my last time going there period I would not recommend this particular establishment to anyone considering they obviously have no type of internal protocol to clean their equipment especially not to clean their equipment during the time frame that they going to be servicing customers. Making sure that all the equipment that they used to cook as hygienic is something that should be done after the doors are closed and that there is no possibility of cross-contamination between the chemicals that use and the food that they cook for the customers and the...

First time coming here and recently moved to Schiller Park. Wonderful owner and crew not sure if they're all family but they are very humble people. I really enjoyed trying their chicken shawarma entree dish very delicious and healthy since I'm trying to watch what I eat. I brought my kids and the man with the white hair was very sweet he put on cartoon shows for them to watch while I enjoyed my food. Wonderful food and a great atmosphere. We recently visited kabob stop to try something new and the food was fantastic. The owner personally made his goal to make sure we were happy with the experience provided. I would recommend not choosing just one item but go for the entree plate which comes with a nice portion of everything kabob stop has to order. They also cater with a four hour call ahead notice which is fast. Overall I give kabob stop five stars for cleanliness, hospitality and first and foremost the freshness of the food.
