Worst experience I've had at an Ihop. I called in to see if our party of 12 would need a reservation or if it would be a long wait. I was told on the phone that it would only be about a 10 minute wait and no reservation was needed. Once we got there we waited about and hour and a half to be seated. They couldn't even sit all of us together, they ended up splitting us up. The waiters and waitresses were very rude and unorganized. The main waiter we had was extremely rude and would reach around and wouldn't say excuse me. The waiter dropped a steak knive on my back because he was reaching around. Didn't even get a sorry for that. My eggs weren't all the way cooked and I couldn't even eat them. My grandpa asked for warm syrup when he ordered however we had to ask for it 3 times before he actually brought it out. The waiter had to ask all of us three times what we had to eat. My grandpa had to help him figure it out so we could have our receipts. It was a horrible experience. I was going to speak to a manager while there however he was just as rude before we were seated then I didn't see them again. I will never go back to...
Read moreWe chose to dine at IHOP based on the fact the parking lot had 4 cars in the lot. Once entering the establishment and seeing 3 tables full & with food, we instantly knew the service would be quick, we were wrong. A waitress kept her back to us for well over 5 minutes before a second waitress came from the back to seat us, the first never even acknowledging us or the couple who followed us through the door. We were seated for about 5-10 minutes when 3 other tables were seated. They were all waited on by 2 other waitresses. The manager even saw our table being neglected and continued to do nothing. After 15 minutes of waiting my wife & I decided to go across the street to Applebee’s where we were seated immediately with the parking lot being full. Drinks and apps order was taken within 5 min of us being seated, ihop take note of this!
We have dined at IHOP many times and have heard stories similar to our experience but have never experienced ourselves...
Read moreAnother convenience to the customer bits the dust. I travel, and for years, I like to call in my meal order and pick it up. Well, you can’t do that anymore at the I hop in Liberal on weekends. They’re forbidden to take any orders over the phone for pickup. So, you have to go inside, place your order, wait, wait a little more, (they don’t care that your waiting, your time means nothing to them, you’re just a customer), then get your food and leave. Customer service, especially in the restaurant industry is job 1, next to food quality. If you don’t take care of the customer, someone else will. So, it’s hard to understand that in such a competitive environment, a company would shoot itself in the foot, by coming up with a policy that will obviously drive the customers somewhere else where they can get their food faster and...
