Daughter and I were looking for a quick place nearby she was craving a chicken caesar salad. We typically go to downtown Georgetown for Italian, but were on the Liberty Hill side so GPS'd Italian restaurant near me since new to the Gtown/LH area. Bella Sera came up, and it had pretty good reviews was close so we tried it. When we first pulled up from the outside (small strip center location) looked more like a pizza place which is not what we were looking for on this particular trip, so before going in we looked at menu, yes chicken caesar salad, plus full menu. Garlic parm bread knots good. Caesar salad and chicken caesar salad really good great dressing, lettuce crip and chilled and croutons all very good. Eggplant parm really good, at first was worried too cheesy/saucy, but the marinara is really good (simple and great flavor) and does not overwhelm and I set aside a bit of the cheese but not a bunch, it's good and the eggplant is firm and substantial and the main part of the dish (sometimes it can be soggy and it's more about the cheese and sauce which I don't like), I would order this again. We shared a tiramisu, really good. Full bar area, cute inside. We will come back with the rest of the fam. Happy to have found...
Read moreI want to give a big shout out to the new Italian restaurant in LH, Bella Sera. My husband and I went there last Thursday to celebrate his birthday. We arrived and the restaurant was completely empty, which is very sad considering the food and service that we enjoyed.
I’m extremely picky about Italian food because I love it so much and I was blown away! I had the Tortellini Michelangelo and it was hands down the BEST pasta dish I’ve ever had. Lots of mushrooms and garlic the tortellini was cooked to perfection and a serving large enough to take home half and enjoy it again the next day. My husband had spaghetti with meatballs Florentine and thoroughly enjoyed his also. They served buttered twisted rolls with our meal which were warm and squishy and delicious.
If you love authentic Italian food, please check it out. If you love Alfredo dishes by all means try the Michelangelo!
The service was amazing, it’s a nice cozy little spot at the corner of 29 & 1869. You won’t be disappointed.
Btw, I never rave about food online, it...
Read moreSmall town place wanted some Italian and gave them a try. I placed the order to go and at pickup was met with really nice people. Family owned and the portion size of the pasta was huge. I got the chicken alfredo and my hubs got a different chicken plate made with wine can’t remember what it was.
Both come with a salad I got the Caesar, and bread knots. Let me tell you, it tastes homemade it was very very good! It caught me by surprise I wasn’t expecting it to since it’s a small place but wow I liked it more than Olive Garden. At Olive Garden it tastes so processed now I get a stomach ache and here the creamy Alfredo is so good the chicken and the bread knots were delicious! My husband loved his plate he doesn’t like saucey pasta so he opted for this plate and the flavor was very good. I couldn’t finish any of it the portion is huge. The little side salad fresh and it was a real treat. Definitely recommend this little family...
