I've heard nothing but great things about this place and tonight just happened to be the night that I wandered in. I was greeted at the door by a woman who said go ahead and take a seat anywhere. That's exactly what we did. Took a nice little quiet seat in the corner. The place is very charming, TVs on every single wall And it has a nice ambience. The big chair bench and the back that you can scoot your table to. Our waitress was lovely even though this was only her second day ( bless her heart) We started off with a couple of soft drinks and we didn't know that they came in cans so that was kind of a shocker to us... But nevertheless, when in Rome. I ordered 15 chicken wings, hot. And a pepperoni calzone. My wife went in ordered a four topping pizza of extra cheese, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian sausage. Our food was ready within 12 minutes which was astonishing to be quite honest, And we didn't even notice because of the ambience of the restaurant. But who's counting right???? 😁 Wings were pretty good, but I should have called a red flag when they told me that there was no blue cheese.. being a Western New York native, ranch does not belong with chicken wings, in fact, I think most bars would kick you out. The calzone was tasty but kind of doughy like it wasn't cooked all the way through. And my wife's pizza looked good on top but the undercarriage needed an additional minute or two in the pizza oven. In barstool terms, the pizza had a lot of flop. All in all, it seemed like a pleasant experience and I'm willing to forgive some things because I understand that things aren't the same down here as they are in the northern states when it comes to pizza and wings... But it wasn't until I got home and I actually looked at my receipt that I was kind of taken back. Fact of the matter is I was charged $2.25 just to have hot sauce on my wings??? I don't understand this concept. So the menu says that it is $1.33 per wing, a minimum of 10 wings. But then below it it says you can have them in mild or hot Buffalo or they can be tossed in a hot sauce for an additional charge of $2 or a dollar or something like that... So how do you normally eat your chicken wings here? Plain not even breaded? This doesn't make any sense to me. This is like ordering a beer and them charging you extra for carbonation. Oh well, better luck next time I guess??

UPDATE: The Beer Market now does amazingly delicious, beautiful and delightful breakfast! In the pic is Eggs Benedict and an Egg Curry Sandwich & mimosa. So good! This super accessible, family-friendly pub-style bar boasts a full "Italian resturant-style" menu, with a broad selection of appetizers. Complete with an impressively broad selection of local and craft beers + ciders. Friendly service, clean facilities, with a true "local, small town bar feel," I like hanging out on their huge, inviting patio which is full of picnic tables and trees, complete with a hammock and year-round fairy lights, making evenings feel a bit magical. Plus the Liberty Hill Beer Barker stays open a bit later than most of the other restaurants in town, so it's an easy choice after dark. On my most recent visit my friend and I got a "Meatball Calzone" and a Strombolli. The both are presented similarly: a large "half circle," too huge to fit on a large plate, both had the tomato sauce served on the side in a separate little cup. The Meatball Calazone had a tremendous amount of ricotta and mozzarella cheeses and a generous amount of meat, and nothing else. It was oooey-gooey paradise. The Strombolli was packed full of everything, with lots of black olives, meats, and cheese, but much less cheese than the Calazone. My friend and I are both adults with big appetites, and we each were only able to eat 1/2 of our dish. We also brough a pizza home for 3 hungry teenagers, and they managed to devour our leftovers and the pie. The Beer Market is one of Liberty Hill's hidden gem, even though it's right there on the main highway. It's worth a drive from Austin to check it out!

We stopped by Liberty Hill Beer Market the other night for dinner and were really impressed with the changes. The new owner, Brian, came by and introduced himself—super nice guy with a clear vision to revamp the place and create a welcoming spot for locals to enjoy. The food was very good, the wine selection was surprisingly extensive, and they were even showing the UFC fights, which made for a fun and lively evening. We’ve been here before in the past, but honestly hadn’t returned in a couple of years because the previous ownership just didn’t feel very friendly or inviting. That’s completely changed now. You can tell Brian genuinely cares about making this a great neighborhood hangout. We’re only about 5–6 minutes down the road, and after this experience, we’ll definitely be visiting more often. Excited to see what’s next for this local gem!

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Overall... if you're in the area, try the Jagerschnitzel. But I wouldn't make a special trip for the rest of the food menu. Service was friendly. But appeared understaffed.

Picnic table seating was nice and shaded. Everyone above 5ft in our group thought the tables were too low and a bit uncomfortable.

There's a nice shaded playground for the kiddos. But it's right up against the main highway road....and only surrounded by a dinky little wire fence. We saw a toddler leaning against the fence on the parking lot side near the road and watched the fence completely bend under his teeny frame. My kiddos are older /school aged so I let them play with a warning to stay away from the fence. All the tables seemed to have decent views of the play area. But I saw quite a few parents sitting at the play area (instead of with their parties / tables) watching their toddlers like hawks. And be honest.... if you're a parent choosing a restraunt with a playground there's a good chance you want to linger and enjoy your meal and beer with some adult conversation. So it bummed me out that the play area wasn't more secure for those parents' peace of mind.

We seated ourselves. Wait staff came right away to let us know they'd be with us.... and then we didn't see anyone again for 20min. In all fairness we only saw 2 waitstaff and they seemed to be covering both the indoor and outdoor seating areas. And preparing for a party in the nicer patio area.

Cheesy fries appetizer was a hit between the adults and kids. The jalapeno dipping sauce was good.

Beer was nice and cold. But came in a plastic cup which made me feel like I was at a college party. Not sure if that's the norm or just covid protocol at this place? On that note... the few staff we saw had masks. We're from Austin and gladly wear our masks everywhere. But we did over hear some choice words and unfriendly stares from the interior patrons when we initially walked through the restraunt in our masks to get to the patio.

The server was slow with our drink refills and finally just left a water pitcher at our table. (Which we appreciated with thirsty kiddos.)

Our meal did not come out all together. Maybe about 10-15 minute delay before we all had food.

I had the meatball entree. On that alone, I'd give 2stars. Texturally, it felt like mushy bread. Maybe too much breadcrumbs? Flavor wise... they're was a LOT lacking. The marinara sauce tasted like it came from a can. My starving kiddo barely picked at his kid meal spaghetti. The noodles were a bit overdone and the marinara flavor was "off".

Husband said his lasagna was "okay". My teen said his burger was good. (But he even likes frozen microwaved burgers so he's probably not the best opinion to trust. )

The real star was the Pork Jagerschnizel. Wow! This entree was delicious. The breading was light crisp and crunchy. The meat was seasoned perfectly. The gravy sauce was out of this world! Even the mushroom hater in our group loved the mushrooms in the sauce. Portions were very generous.

At the end we had to ask for our check. And a to-go box (for the jagerschnitzel only) Twice and had to qait another 15-20 minutes.

The staff was definitely friendly. Just looked like they were...
