After driving past Hell or High Water for several years and saying "we really should try that place"... we did! Really glad we did! We had a good meal. Mel was our waiter, and he was awesome... attentive but not intrusive! We started with a top shelf margarita which was a little heavy on the salted rim, but a quick wipe with a napkin fixed that. The cocktail was very good. For food we tried the reuben sandwich (with sauteed spinach), the fried shrimp (with baby gold potatoes and sauteed asparagus), and the fish and chips. My first observation was the food came out so hot, we had to let it cool for a minute or too! Perfect, we like really hot fried stuff! The reuben was good, a bit of a twist on the traditional with provolone cheese and "home-made russian sauce." Tasty... The fried shrimp were also good, breading just right, the tartar sauce was OK (we make our own at home, hard to beat). The fish and chips were the highlight... fish (cod) lightly battered, fried golden crisp, atop a mound of fries. We don't eat fries often, so they gotta be good... these were. Delicious! We passed on dessert. Only two choices: chocolate cake and cinnamon apple brown butter cake. The pictures looked good, but we were stuffed! Recommend Hell or High Water.

Stopped by on a Thursday night hoping for some good beer. Wait was about 30 minutes. We sat inside, they have two indoor rooms and a large outdoor patio. They have a sort of full bar wine and some hard liquor scotch, vodka, gin and a number of Texas Whiskeys, Garrison bros. FTW. Sadly no spiced rum for my wife so be aware. Large number of beer on tap including some guest pours. Sadly out of the Irish red I wanted to try, however they make a Belgian quad which is not always east to find at these small Brew pubs. Since that's my favorite type of beer I had to try that. It was really quite good. High alcohol content for sure but still easy drinking and not bitter. For our supper my wife had the salmon and said it was one of the best salmon dinners she's had in texas and salmon is her go to. I enjoyed the chicken strips and fries. Large portion and done right, fries had the right amount of seasoning. Asparagus was good if just a touch woody. Very nice decor inside and out with a lot of exposed limestone. They also have merch for sale, t-shirts and hats. Highly recommend will be back to try some more of their beers and other menu items.

Multiple hairs in food, disrespectful management, and poor service. We went here with the hopes of having a good time and listening to live music. We ended up having an absolutely horrible experience. I will never go back again. The service was poor; They were not attentive and did not even go over the menu, which was important since they were out of numerous items we attempted to order. The food was heavily over seasoned (like taking a mouthful of salt). And there were at least two hairs in the food (see the pictures). After seeing the first, we tried to pass it off as an accident, but after seeing the second it was unacceptable. We quietly reported this to our server who apologized and stated that they would alert the manager. The server came back and stated that the manager was too busy to speak with us but we didn't have to pay for that meal. That is absolutely disrespectful and terrible leadership that we weren't considered worth the managers time. Apparently, that is what they think of their customers: worthless. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The food here is reaaaally overpriced for what you get, though I'll admit the chicken fingers were actually pretty good. The Cobb salad was tiny and for almost $20, it's ridiculous. That said, the experience left a sour taste for reasons beyond the menu prices.

I mentioned to our server that it had been my birthday the night before, and he replied, "How old did you turn? 29?" I said, "No, 27." Now, look--I get that some people think they're being charming or funny with comments like that, but honestly? Why guess a woman's age at all? It felt like an awkward attempt at flattery that actually made me feel self-conscious and uncomfortable. The implication that I looked older and he was trying to "soften the blow" really struck a nerve.

It may seem small to some, but it's a good reminder that you never know what someone is insecure about, and guessing age--especially for women--is just not it. Despite the weird vibe, I still left a 25% tip because I believe in tipping well when someone is doing their job. But please--servers, bartenders, whoever--just don't comment on people's age. Especially us ladies. It's not cute, it's not funny, and it's not...
