I recently dined at CM Chicken (Korean style) with a couple of friends. While the food was great, the service left a lot to be desired. The restaurant was busy, and it seemed like there were only three servers working, which I understand as a server myself. However, our server was not attentiveāhe only came to our table when we used the call button and didnāt engage much otherwise.
After paying, I expected a receipt, but he quickly walked away. Later that night, I checked my bank statement and noticed I was charged 20% over, even though I had already left a cash tip. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, no one took me seriously. So, I went in person to speak with the manager. One of the managers (a male) seemed completely uninterested, but thankfully, a female manager actually took the time to explain their system and receipts to me.
As I was speaking with the manager about the overcharge, a couple of other servers felt the need to chime in on the conversation, and the manager just allowed it. Even the server in questionāJacob, the one who overcharged meāwas able to engage with me directly, which I found extremely unprofessional. Be careful with Jacob, as he is shifty and seems to have no problem adding extra charges. I will say that I was upset and heated in the moment, and I apologize for that, but no one should be overcharged.
This experience was disappointing, and the way the situation was handled lacked professionalism. While the food is great, the service and management need serious improvement. If I ever return, it will only be for takeout, as I donāt trust their billing practices. Be cautious when dining in and always double-check...

First off, in 300 reviews, I've only given out two five stars,.. this one was well deserved,.. have heard about Korean fried chicken, food Network, YouTube and friends,.. and we decided to stop here for dinner,.. restaurant super clean. The decor is vibrant while the paint is muted as to not blow the customer away. Bathrooms were clean with changing tables for children,.. and all the staff we interacted with was super polite, super friendly and very helpful. And we interacted with four different staff including the owner,.. and he himself was amazing as well,.. now on to the food we sampled some sauces and we decided to get two styles of chicken, the fried and then the fried and grilled. We got soy, garlic and spicy garlic with the snow onions and we ordered the house coleslaw,... However, let's not forget the complementary daikon pickles homemade... Amazing! Just the right amount of vinegar. Just the right amount of sugar and the exact right amount of crunch. The chicken came out. We ordered two half chickens and they were amazing. The right amount of heat, the excellent amount of crunch and the portions were amazing. The slaw didn't have crazy amounts of liquid in it making my wife extremely happy. The snow onions were good. I think I'll get them on the side next time. And I asked the owner, is there a headstone in the back for the KFC place?... Because this was delicious. Can't recommend enough... In fact, the breasts were so juicy. My wife thought she was actually eating a thigh....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy far the best fried chicken place here in west Chester Ohio. Probably the best fried chicken spot in Cincinnati to be honest. Forget about kfc and Popeyes, if you want good, juicy, tender, and crispy fried chicken then this is the spot to go.
Staff is amazing and friendly, the owner is there a lot and he seems great as well.
Soy spring, curry, snow onion are the flavors Iāve had so far and goddddd itās dang good.
Iām not a tender guy but my friend is and he order some and Iāll say their tenders are almost as good as the wings (Iām biased towards wings) and they are HUGE and plentiful. Very good definitely would order
Appetizers we got the calamari which was great as well
Great draft beer selections and thatās very important when it comes to fried chicken spot. Korean culture is beer and fried chicken and itās a great combination that you must try. They also have soju which is a Korean liquor but better. Iād recommend the yogurt flavor (just trust me) or the peach flavor. Honestly you canāt go wrong with any but high recommend the yogurt. It tastes like the yokult little yogurt drink you get at Korean restaurants when you get done with a meal.
All in all 12/10 spot. I always take my...
