Guys pardon my ignorance here but this maybe the weirdest reviews I have put.
I have always fancied this restaurant as it's just a few blocks away from my place but my schedule just didn't allow me to. So I plan to go this weekend. But unfortunately I came across something that has caught my attention and I am now seeking google or someone equally credible to clarify a doubt that has made me change my mind from going in there. Being a local contributor I believe I have a set of responsibilities towards the people who read my reviews and follow me and this is why this is my first time I am writing here without going to the restaurant. Let me be very clear here I mean no offence to anyone or the restaurant it's just that I need to be clear minded with no doubts, before I go into a restaurant and put in my honest and genuine reviews. Yesterday I just happened to visit their Facebook page and I came across a picture. A certificate they have uploaded/published in their page which is not for the restaurant but made for some poultry business. Why would you borrow some other companies certificate to prove your worth? Is that permissible?? Secondly the certificate is valid thru December 31, 2023; now doesn't that make the certificate expired and invalid??? And lastly this restaurant has opened it's doors to customers in the month of February so how can this certificate be relevant. Lots of ambiguity here guys.
Can someone clarify my doubts please? Would also request Google to look into it if I make...
Read moreI’ve been eating Indian food for well over three decades. I’ve had it in many countries around the world, including my in-laws in India. My husband is Indian and an excellent cook and makes wonderful meals at home. -so I was excited to try the thali at this restaurant, which has many good ratings. This was the saddest thali I’ve ever encountered. Normally, there will be three different vegetable dishes, along with dal (lentils). They usually give you a papard as well. As you can see from the photos, there were only two different vegetarian dishes, one with paneer and vegetables, which was good. The second was made with Soya chunks and tasted like weather stripping with sauce. It was chewy and spongy. There were also no lentils. They could’ve included any other vegetable dish that is always served at Indian restaurants, such as cauliflower, Chole, potatoes, etc. The dessert was cooked vermicelli with a sweet cream sauce and was OK. The rice and naan were delicious. Perhaps individual items ordered from the menu taste better, I don’t have any data on that. But they really cheaped out on this dish for me, perhaps thinking I didn’t really know what I was ordering. And I will never know as I will never return. After having hoped for a delicious meal, I could not have been more disappointed. I gave up and left. I will never return and will never let my friends visit this place. There are so many other...
Read moreI was very excited to try out Delhi cafe for my birthday dinner based on the killer reviews.
While my first few bites were very tasty, I found what looked to be a piece of a cleaning wipe (see picture) in one of the dishes.
Unfortunately, with my confidence in the cleanliness of this kitchen lost; I was forced to toss out the rest of my food to avoid any other foreign objects that may be in the dishes.
I reached to see what could be done to make this right, and although I explained that I had to toss everything because I could not risk more items in my food; I was reimbursed only for the singular dish, not the whole meal that was ruined by his experience.
I can understand a singular dish being refunded if it was not what I had ordered, or if it had been under/overcooked. But in a situation like this, when a curry-soaked cleaning wipe is on your tongue, it very much ruins the entire meal.
Obviously I am very disappointed in missing out on this meal. While I would have preferred to give them another chance, the reluctance to do the right thing after being offered the chance has nearly cemented the fact that I will not...
