Just overall terrible! A friend took me here and it literally caused us to argue because he swore this was the best food in town ! My stomach DISAGREES !!! I’ve been back and forth to the bathroom the last few hrs sharp cramping and diarrhea! Absolutely not going back it was all cooked in the same grease grease wasn’t clean or hadn’t been changed probably all week it was black very dark grease ! The food made me physically sick I won’t ever tell any one to eat there ! I also had my cousin with me and she’s pregnant it also made her sick as well so I knew it wasn’t just me my friend said he eats it everyday his insides have to be rotten because there is no way I’m laying here balled up because of the pain I’m in ! My body literally rejected it ! Fish was hard as a rock ! Not good at all sorry ! I’ll Never eat outside of GRILLE 55 again !!! I’ll take that hr ride anyday for actual good food ! I am not one to give poor reviews however, my horrible experience certainly warrants one this time. I ordered dinner for my husband and I through DoorDash. Once the food arrived, we were missing one of the two ordered dinners. I called Hook and began to explain that I was missing a meal that we paid for. After a few minutes of confusion, the woman on the phone hung up on me. I was not rude, I was not loud so I thought that possibly it was a connection issue. When I called back, I was told that they wouldn’t refund the meal but rather wanted me to come there the next day to get my missing meal and then I was hung up on again. At this point, my husband called and was pretty much hung up immediately. I haven’t received such horrible customer service in years. I’m baffled at the behavior of the employees and will absolutely never return. I will continue to support local businesses that take pride in their work and treat their customers...

I've seen reviews saying how great this place is & this was my first time trying it here & wasn't bad, but at the same time I didn't see what the hype was about. The wings were just fried wings, no seasoning or anything that jumped out to make them special, my fries were kinda soggy & smaller ones ok. The catfish didn't even taste like catfish, but more like whiting. Over all it was just fried food🤷 Probably won't go back because I can just fry food at home in my fry daddy, i want to spend money for stuff that I can't do. There is a hook fish in Pittsburgh (Swissvale) that we frequented, they had good prices, and there was something about the seasoning that made it worth it.
