Kravitz Delicatessen Inc — Restaurant in Liberty Township

I have enjoyed Kravitz deli/restaurant for many years with nothing but rave reviews. BUT my last experience is another story completely. First the person who waited on me was an angry woman who was so rude and nasty it took me by surprise. I had pre-ordered 120 kiffles ($160.00) for my Xmas party which was supposed to be frozen so I could bake them when needed since I now live in VA. I explained that to the person who took the order. She presents them to me in a pizza size box already baked and frozen with no extra wrappings to keep them from drying out. When I explained they needed to be boxed to travel 6 hours she throws them in plastic containers and mixes them up so I don't know which ones by their fillings. When I got back to VA and reheated a few as per the instructions, I discovered they were odd sizes, too much dough with very little filling and still RAW in the middle! Based on how poorly I was treated and how disappointing these were made to the point I cannot serve them to my guest, I could not recommend supporting this establishment to any of my friends or...

We ordered two corned beef on rye with mustard, sauerkraut on the side. We got two corned beef on TOASTED rye with melted cheese but no mustard, that too was on the side. We had to peel the sandwiches apart to apply the mustard messing up the sandwich which was already messed up because we didn’t order toasted rye and melted cheese. The corned beef was very good but the sauerkraut was dry really didn’t have much flavor. I was very disappointed! Our sandwiches were not what We ordered, we were looking forward to a nice soft rye bread loaded with corned beef and mustard. Why go to a store for a sandwich if i have to take it apart to dress it myself. Thats just plain wrong. I like to receive the sandwich that i request, it just makes sense.

I would have given five stars for the staff but thats not what the rating is solely for. The staff are marvelous, very friendly, lovely attitudes GREAT environment. We ordered from Uber eats and we were seriously unimpressed. The driver called us from the restaurant to ask us what sides we wanted because they weren’t listed on the menu. We chose Mac & potato salad and they arrived in a 3-4 oz cup and tasted like Walmart brand. For what we paid I expected two large & piled high sandwiches, they were relatively small.. then when the driver got here she told me she had to pay a little extra out of pocket for the order because they didn’t have a contract with them and the food was more expensive then what Uber charged, unreal! She didn’t ask for the money and I wasn’t going to offer it, but something suspicious is going on there. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the corned beef was tasty.. not good enough to order here again.

I forgot to add my husband ordered the pita & hot peppers, it was 6 or 7 dollars and he literally got 4 tiny wedges of pita bread and a 2 oz. Cup of BARELY mild banana peppers drizzled in a little oil. All this on top of a 7 dollar delivery charge,...
