Best Mexican food ever purchased in the region. Beats any chain from here to Cincinnati. I'd say better than Nada's. Beats every cazadores and rancho grande location... Even better than some speciality joints over in Madeira / Milford area, I forget their name, one makes these pretty gastro pub looking tacos and they have giant vats/barrels of salsa, been there like 5x and this place is way better. Better than Gomez salsa. Better than any authentic or modern joint in the area.
10/10 would recommend. Great menu diversity. From the Mayan fajitas to the giant wet burritos to the chorizo queso. Every bite is unique and it seemed that each menu item was carefully planned instead of slapping a combo of staple dishes together and calling it unique.
I'm surprised they're able to maintain that menu diversity and uniqueness.
Great breakaway joint if you're tired of the same old enchiladas, sad guac salad and weak tacos.
What you don't get in quality? You'll get in serving size. $30-50 could easily cater a 10 person office if you're creative (like ask for 2 Mayan fajitas with maybe 20 tortillas + your condiments and sides). $15/person will get you about 1-2 days of leftovers but you might very well eat them all on day 1 because it tastes so good.
Kids menu also offers reasonable options like a taco and enchilada for a couple bucks.
I loved their cactus, too. Ribeye and chicken cooked to perfection.
I wish they included maybe a hot pepper with my entree... Or maybe something hotter than the peppers already mixed in with the cactus. This is not a complaint just an idea.
Pico was great. Guac great. I think they could improve on their cilantro storage maybe, to stand out- cilantro tasted like it was sitting in the cooler for awhile, which is on par with anywhere else you go except one or two places. It's a really hard herb to keep fresh when doing volume of sales like this place seems to do.
Other than that, fantastic.
Having a joint like this is going to encourage a lot of new demand up here for quality and I'm all for it. People here need educated on what good food is, what good management is and y'all are serving it hot.
Keep it up. (Very courteous staff and front of house manager or GM was sure to check to go bag before handing it...
Read moreEver since business has picked up here, our experience has gotten worse each time. Tonight was the last straw because when our food came out it was placed at the table next to us, those customers completely confused as it was not what they ordered. They kept trying to tell the person who brought the food out what they really ordered but they seemed really reluctant to believe them. Once our server finally came out, he told the runner that he delivered the wrong food to the wrong table which was ours.... WELL after our food sat in front of these people with them talking and hovering all over it they took the food to the back to verify the orders and came back with the SAME FOOD and thought it would be okay for us to eat the food that was placed at a different table with those people poking it and talking all over it..... I don't feel I am wrong for wanting fresh food and with everything going on climate wise, you would think for sanitary reasons they remake our food. I had to wait to find a manager to pull aside and tell him what was going on and of course he had them take the food that was on the table thrown away and remake our food. I appreciate that, but the issue is that after I asked about the food being remade and knowing they absolutely did not the first time, lied to us and really tried passing off that they brought out fresh food. This raises the concern of trust that this location does not put the health and safety of their customers first as they definitely did not tonight with us. Unfortunate this location we keep having hiccups with... We were really starting to make this a regular place for Mexican Cuisine. Truly disappointed and dissatisfied overall. Also no, they did not discount our meal either but did with the table next to us, and gave them a...
Read moreThis place was absolutely fantastic. I had never been there before and some friends took me and wow. The tables are far enough apart that you don't feel like you're smashed against the people next to you. Lots of big screen televisions showing the best sports. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The restrooms are nice, roomy, and clean. You can watch a machine cranking out the fresh made tortilla shells which is really cool. Everyone at my table let me try some of what they had since I had not been there before and everything I tasted was phenomenal. And as a chef, I don't say that about food in many restaurants. The flavors were spot on what you would expect from the various dishes. I had some sort of Hawaiian chimichanga or something. When I go to Mexican restaurants I always get a seafood chimichanga. But I wasn't wearing my glasses and I didn't see one on the menu and I was trying to order quickly as everyone else had already ordered by the time I showed up. So I ordered this Hawaiian dish with pineapple sauce. That was well..... let's just say I will be ordering it again instead of seafood. They have the most fun drinks that I've ever seen. I can't even explain them. You have to see them to believe it. Think big and think Smokey. You just have to see them 🙂. When we were done and walking out the owner was told it was my first time there and he walked up and gave me a hug and said welcome. I am so...
